Visits are rushed. He has limited me to one symptom b/c he only had 5 min for me. On one visit he asked me to reschedule b/c he didn’t have time for me at all. I eventually had a telephone visit with him b/c severe vertigo prevented me from standing. He told me over the phone it’s probably an infxn, Rx’d dramamine and said it should resolve on its own. He did not order labs or have me come for an exam. Another doctor diagnosed secondary syphillis after three months of being neglected

As an HIV-positive patient, it is important to me to feel that I can trust my doctor, both medically and personally. When my previous Kaiser doctor retired, he was, at that point, my favorite ever and I felt bereft and worried. No need: I find Dr. Sugimoto's medical guidance clear, proactive, and extremely helpful and his personality very warm, respectful, personable, and friendly.

Worst Doctor I ever had at Kaiser. Zero time for questions. Made faces while doing exam. Zero follow up, even after I had procedures and hospital stays. Mostly, he wants to get you in and out of the exam as quickly as possible. Even the unit manager suggested I switch doctors, when she was unable to get him to respond to my emails, or indicate in any way that he cared about my health, or pain!

Worst doc i ever had at kaiser. Saw him make faces of disgust while examining me. Also never responded to emails in a timely manner. Always tried to negotiate me out of asking questions, and never seemed concerned with diagnosing any of my problems, or following up when conditions where more a cute. Mostly, seemed like he wanted to get me in and out of there as quickly as possible. Even the unit manager suggested I switch providers, because she couldn't get him to care either.
