List of James Mackenzie's Reviews
It was Nice to meet a Doctor with a personality who listens and explains clearly. He was thorough with my exam and I immediately booked another visit for treatment. Highly recommend seeing Dr. MacKenzie. Have heard positive things about other docs in this practice as well. Staff was friendly and efficient.
Very good listener, diagnosed correctly and instituted correct treatment. top notch doctor!
Dr Mackenzie has been my doctor for 11 years, He goes out of his way to make sure his patients are treated with respect, friendly staff, wonderful bedside manner !!!! I wish all Doctors were as caring as Dr Mackenzie
Most unprofessional healthcare provider that I have ever encountered. Treated with extreme disregard. He was unwilling to listen and not willing to review information from other providers. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. My recommendation would be to look elsewhere if you are referred to him.
He is an extremely poor excuse of a doctor, he has an attitude that he doesn't want to be there, that you are a waste if his time. I have worked in the medical field for 25 years and I'm totally appalled with him. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.
Incompetent! You would think a neurologist would be able to diagnose a neurological condition, not this joker.
Surprisingly, this doctor displayed a lack of compassion, bias and unwillingness to thoroughly explore BC ways to help a patient in considerable pain...in search of non-drug relief. This defies the Hippocratic oath. Pre-judging without reviewing xrays and relevant medical records.
In the assessment letter detailing the results of my EMG, I was described as "quite tangential and at times rather exhaustive." I looked up the word "tangential" and there was a Question asking where I heard this word and to leave a "Comment." When I read other comments, some stated from "Medical Personnel" or from a "Doctor." Is this a new "Phrase" Doctors are using to describe a patient who is trying to explain their symptoms??? Isn't that what we came in for???
I first saw Dr McKenzie at age 16 when i got sick and was at childrens memorial hospital. All of my other doctors were unpleasant and told me all my pain was in my head. Dr McKenzie told me that it was like they dropped a bowling ball on my foot and then told me the broken foot was all in my head. I adored Dr Mckenzie. He kept me same through my illness. When I'd occasionally be stuck in another hospital he'd offer to let me do our sessions over the phone. The only downside was when I turned 18 I was no longer eligible to see him as he's a child/adolescent psychiatrist. I miss having him as my doctor, but I highly recommend him to anyone who's searching for a psychiatrist for themselves or their child.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
