List of Dev Mishra's Reviews
Dr. Mishra is a terrific orthopedic surgeon. He combines deep orthopedic knowledge with a warm ability to explain things in a way that is comprehensible to the average patient. He took time to understand my medical and specific physical background, clearly explain what he was seeing in a ultrasound and develop a plan of improvement.
Dr. Mishra was amazing! Best orthopedic experience I've had. Besides being incredibly knowledgeable and having amazing experience and background, he was patient, thorough and clearly cared about getting to the right diagnosis and treatment. Never felt rushed, he was meticulous about getting background info, figuring out what mattered, etc. I would recommend him without hesitation.
Great sports doctor help me truly through the years for my knees
Not very helpful or caring. Examined me briefly 5-10 minutes and wrote a prescription. I was shocked when I received the bill. Over $1000 and wasn’t helpful with Options or alternatives.
Dr. Mishra diagnosed me with frozen shoulder about three months ago and recommended physical therapy. I went to PT for two months (2x/week) with no improvement, in fact, the pain is worse. My PT (after spending two months working with me) said that she did not feel that I had frozen shoulder and that requesting an MRI would be a good next step. So, I requested one via the phone with Dr. Mishra's assistant. To make a long story a little shorter, when I went in today, Dr. Mishra said, 'You have frozen shoulder, you need surgery since you won't have a cortisone shot' (I react REALLY badly to cortisone). I said, "Why no MRI?" D.M. - Because I already know what you have, I don't need any more information. Me-The pain is worse, my left wrist has noticeably atrophied and PT didn't help D.M -You have frozen shoulder. Note, he spent about 60 seconds examining me, said that my range of motion was better (therefore saying that PT had helped) while ignoring the fact that it REALLY hurt to move my arm. He had no interest in any information that did not support his diagnosis. He showed no concern for the pain. He did not ask if the anti-inflammatory he had prescribed had helped (it didn't). His ego is not more important than my health. I will be changing doctors and NOT within the Stanford system. After this experience, I don't feel comfortable with their choices in physicians.
Very helpful
Great Doctor, patient and will not rush to treatment jutst to shut me up.... I am glad I was paitent and waited for the inflammation to subside so he could read the correct MRI and give me the treatment options which were accurate. Great doctor, great chairside manner and all around pleasant experience....

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
