His never available I've been waiting for a appointment for over 6 months his medical assistant never called back to schedule my sick daughter and their only suggestion was go to er or urgent care his agenda is booked or unavailable
Busy doctor. Will quickly prescribe antibiotics with no regard for indicators of viral vs bacterial infections. He doesn’t have the time to explain method or educate patient. He may be a good doctor, but because he is so busy, his care suffers.
Patient Mill. He prescribes antibiotics for everything and doesn’t look for indicators of bacterial vs viral infections. He may be a good doctor, but he doesn’t have time for his patients and his care suffers for it. He doesn’t like to explain his method and educate the patient.
Dr Rabago was recommended by my cousin. I started seeing him when I was pregnant with my oldest son over 11 years ago. I’ve followed him as he’s moved clinic locations because I like him so much. He’s kind, easy to talk to, knowledgeable and I trust him with my health as well as the health of my children.
My experience with Dr. Rabago... To be fair, maybe it's MFA to blame for overbooking and overloading doctors with patients. He was there for the birth of my daughter and maybe that allowed me to ignore earlier red flags. He is a great low-stress, NO-QUESTIONS-ASKED kind of doctor. If you want a little more explanation and guidance, he doesn't have the time for you. He was recommended to us by a friend we trust. My last two experiences are what solidified my opinion of Dr. Rabago and MFA. #1 - I have a dental procedure done while I am sick and I receive a nasal bacterial infection that lasts over a month. My wife is sick at the time we both see Dr Rabago but hers is a viral nasal infection. Now any doctor worth his salt can ask basic symptom questions to be clued in on which is which and provide the proper treatment. It is pretty common knowledge that the medical field is over-utilizing antibiotics and because of it, antibiotic-resistant strains are developing more quickly than they should. The solution is to reserve treatment for absolutely needed cases. Bacterial Nasal infections require it while viral nasal infections do not. Dr Rabago takes the lazy route and prescribes antibiotics for us both. When I confront him about it, in a rush, he snidely questions how I know which infection I have. I tell him because I've had it for over a month. He's silent. And that's pretty much the end of that experience.#2 For those familiar with asthma... It's not good to constantly use the albuterol rescue inhaler so they stick us on some form of "controller" thats safer to use on a daily basis. Well the valley's air isnt getting any better so pretty good guess is I'm going to need the controller inhaler prescription for a good long while. Dr. Rabago agrees to prescribe me the Controller Inhaler i need for a year. Pharmacy calls me up after the year and says it's expired on the doctor will not renew. I call the office and they tell me the doctor wants to see me before renewing again. That's understandable, but the nearest appt with Rabago is over a month out. I schedule it. I tell them that I still need the controller inhaler from now until the appt. I'm told Dr Rabago will agree to write a prescription if I schedule the appt. I do it. Nothing happens. I call Costco. They say still being denied. I call the office, Rabago is gone until Tuesday... Best they can do is set an appt with a PA later in the week and I'm left with the impression the PA can only give temp prescriptions. Rather than go to 2 separate appts I give Rabago office a call to see if i can just get the temp prescription until the main appt a month out... They tell me just go to PA appt that she can give me a year-long prescription. Cool. Only I remeber I need to change the appt for another day in the week. I call. They blocked my number. My doctors office blocked my number. Have some decency and remove me as a patient before pretending to continue to provide care and block a number. I called maybe 4 times in the span of a week for a temp prescription Dr Rabago said he would provide if I scheduled the month-out appt. That was a lie. MFA and Dr Rabago are not quality healthcare providers. They are about quantity. Getting patients in and out.I like Dr. Sugimoto. He actually was able to explain his diagnoses and treated us like human beings capable of grasping basic medical concepts and not a patient mill run like an overbooking airline.
I put a lot of effort into searching for a doctor after moving to Merced. I found Dr. Rabago at MFA G street accepting new patients and he had great reviews. He moves around to different offices on certain days. Dr. Rabago is quick to act running labs, prescribing medication, and handling referrals. I feel comfortable with him. The only down side is it may be several weeks out for an appointment at the MFA office. Staff there are friendly and helpful; the seating in the waiting room is the best. My visits are always on time and fairly quick. These days it’s difficult to find a good doctor that listens and acts but you won’t have to worry about that with Dr. Rabago.
Love him! was my doctor when i was pregnant with my second child at the hospital he was their a all times checked in alot and recommended me to take my son to him, he has been his doctor since!!
He is an amazing Dr. I was pregnant with my first child he was very kind and always told me everything I needed to know about something. During labor he was always making sure I was comfortable and knew what was going on. He was always clear about everything. If or when I have a second child I will be going back to him.
He's been my Dr for five years and he's been great and now he's my children Dr. As well. I love him because he's been really helpful and he's always there when u need him.
i adore Dr Rabago! He helped me through some issues with my cervix and always explained things in a manner which i could understand! He also guided me through my pregnancy and i was totally comfortable asking him even the sillist questions! he never made me feel stupid about asking a million questions either like other doctors have! he was dead on with my daughters wait and due date! he said i think she will be a little over 7lbs and a day or two past her due date.. sure enough! 7.3 and 25hours past her due date here she was! my daughter has a cyst under her tongue and instead of popping it himself Dr Rabago wants to make 100% sure its ok and send her to a specialst. i love that when he isnt a 100% he double checks! he isnt afriad to make sure!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
