Always a great experience!

Staff that answers calls i’d give them no stars. Extremely insensitive to people and their worries. Got someone hot and bothered because I pushed my issue of being seen earlier than my next appointment which would have been in December. But I am feeling much worse and got a “too bad” type attitude from the receptionist on the phone. TERRIBLE service I’ve had from them, and I’ve definitely heard the same from family members. My doctor Lynda Scales is top notch though. Five stars for her for sure. I did get an earlier appointment by the way, I said thank you. And she hung up on me. No, “no problem, have a nice day.” Like it’s not her job as the face of the office shes representing to be courteous.

I made a phone call to the office right around 8am TODAY 10/12/22.They answered my call but I guess they couldn't hear me or claim not to they hung on me and I called again and they hung up on me 2nd time yet I called 3rd time and the staff hung up on me AGAIN... I don't understand why would they do that I'm really shock. I'm really eagerly trying to reach the doctor office looking for a new primary physician for someone personally. Deeply disappointed in the staff members here. Now I'm feeling hopeless losing faith and my OB works there which is the only good thing about that office. 😥 Update: they finally answered the my phone call...but sure heck doesn't sound like she want to work with me she got silent after I asked a question then sighed and answered with a awfully forceful tiring tone of voice.... Staff member was rude and I definitely do not feel welcome at the slightest. I strongly believe it's important to have good respectful attentive staff members.

At times when you have an appointment, lets say at 9:00am. Get there early incase of more paper work, wait 15-30 minutes after your appointment time. Then wait in the "back room' for another sometimes 15-30 minutes or more after the appointment. We all have lives and our time matters too.

Insensitive staff, I was actually worried about my diagnosis and injury when they stepped out in the middle of my appointment laughing extremely loudly joking about unrelated stuff while I was in the room alone. Never felt more alone.

I tried calling to give them my info because my grandmother & fiance both already go there. They assured me they would contact me in 1 weeks time. 2 weeks later I checked my acceptance status by walking in. The office was a ghost town with nobody around. I tried calling out "hello?" "Is anybody here who can help?". So after walking around for a few minutes I saw a lady on the phone who was annoyed that I was asking for help. The office seemed like everybody was at lunch & forgot to lock up the place. The annoyed lady had somebody else help me who felt bad because they NEVER even took down my info & had no record of me. So I stayed there to fill out the forms that should've already been filled out, in person. She guaranteed that somebody for sure will get back to me in 1 week. The last straw was when I called in 3 WEEKS LATER just for them to tell me to go somewhere else. I have never seen such unprofessionalism from an establishment but since they wasted my time I had to write this review. That's HOW horrible & lackluster this place is!!!

No one answers the phone, extreme wait and hold times. The staff in Dr. Johnston office are not friendly or very helpful bordering on rude at times. They do not respond to pharmacy request and when you call to get your prescriptions refilled you'll be transferred to a voice mail that never gets returned. You will not receive any personal care from Dr. Johnston's office. I hope that Dr. David and her original staff can break away and have their own office again soon. Or we get lucky and a new GP will move to Merced, one that actually cares.

Dr. Johnston is the best OB and family care doctor. He is very knowledgeable and truly loves his job. I love going to his office, you can tell everyone enjoys their job there. Highly recommend him. 💓
