List of Lisa E. Choi's Reviews
Dr. Choi is the most dismissive, aloof medical professional I have ever encountered. I went to her for a concerning lump with pain on my leg; I am young, healthy, don’t drink/smoke and am active . She may have said a total of 20 words to me in the 1.5 mins of time we interacted in the exam room. She also barely looked at my leg nor did she ask much about it or my history. She ordered an xray, left, came back with xray and just held it up saying “I don’t see anything.” She ordered an MRI “to make me feel better” and shrugged when I asked of she felt it was truly necessary. When I asked if she thought it was anything malignant such as a tumor she said “I don’t know, I don’t think so much thighs hide things.” Total waste of time. Will be getting another opinion.
Dr Choi and here surgical team so far the team I ever had. Dr Choi replaced both of my knees on two different occasions. It has change my quality life. Very easy to talk to and takes the time to answer any questions you have regarding your procedure.
Dr. Choi was aloof and dismissive of of my condition and concerns. I went to her regarding a tumor which she assured me on three occasions it was benign. I had a surgical biopsy which the results from Garnet Health were inconclusive. I was not prepared for the pain or size of the incision after the biopsy. When asked what recovery time would be I was told "well you won't want to go to work the next day" along with other dismissive statements and was never actually given a time frame. There was no follow up call after the surgery. A follow up appointment was scheduled without my knowledge at that appointment she still was not upfront about my condition and the possibility that the tumor was malignant. When the biopsy was inconclusive I was told it was being sent to Sloan Kettering for further testing. The sample was not sent to SKM for 8 days after I was told this. The biopsy results came back 8 days ago and Dr. Choi still has not contacted me to tell me I have cancer. I obtained the pathology results from my primary (not Crystal Run) and had to read them myself.
My daughter has had two appointments with Dr. Choi. At the first appointment, the doctor assumed she knew what the problem was and didn't even prescribe Physical Therapy or an MRI. After several months of continued pain (and seeking our own PT), we returned to Dr. Choi, in hopes for some answers. Dr. Choi spent only 2 or 3 minutes with my daughter and didn't bother to even look at her knee until my husband asked her if she would at least examine the knee. (which she then quickly suggested a there was a different problem than originally stated) She then offered three very negative outcomes, with a very "why bother" attitude! We asked for a script for an MRI, which she agreed to, then she left! NOT A WORD OF COMFORT OR HEALING POSSIBILITES! We are disgusted with her lack of professionalism, expertise, care, and willness to help solve the problem!

I recently saw Dr Choi for knee pain with swelling and fluid. She handed me two images from my X-rays and said I have tgdd ewwww beginning of arthritis. No exam, no intervention. Follow up with a new MD, bakers cyst! Thanks for nothing
My experience was bad she came brought in a picture of x ray and said my hip was fine I have bad arthritis in the back no exam of any kind said she will prescribe steroids but it was not called in still I dont have the meds.
I give this doctor a zero because said young people can’t have knee pain worst of all she is rude and unprofessional in one case she walked away from a patient. No good has New York City mentality. Not good at all!
I saw dr Choi for a Worker’s compensation injury. She dismissed the fact that I told her how difficult walking and steps were and that my leg felt swollen from my ankle to knee. Time to move on for a second opinion. When you could hardly walk, something is going on.
Good job. Thank you . Good job think you the. Best. D. R.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
