List of Nicholas Batson's Reviews
Dr. Batson is the best psychiatrist I’ve been to. He is caring, understanding, and really wants to help. He has saved me when I have been my worst or in a tough position. He is intelligent and easy going. He will help you if you truly want help. If you are just being seen to get drugs or play around he will know. I feel like that is why some of his reviews are bad. He is also very open to helping pregnant mothers. He knows what he is doing, and he is willing to help anyone who is serious about getting better.
I had a positive initial appointment with Dr. Batson this week. I found him to be competent, pleasant and not rushed. He answered all of my questions and had some interesting thoughts and information to share about psychiatry and mood management beyond traditional medication management. Based on my positive initial appointment, I look forward to working with this provider (through in-person and telehealth appointments) going forward.
This appointment was a horror. He does not listen although he thinks he know everything. The man is condescending and is more interested in himself than trying to help people. Not a very nice quality for a doctor, especially a psychiatrist.
Dr. Nicholas Batson is one of the worst doctors I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. Felt like a just another number to him, not a real person with feelings. He seemed completely uninterested in hearing about my symptoms and was very quick to prescribe medication. Zero eye contact at all. I will not be going back to him and would never recommend him to someone else. He is vey full of himself. He is more interested in being right than in treating the patient. I have no idea how he became head of the psychiatric program at Crystal Run. I was also surprised at how young he is. He looks barely old enough to drive let alone have a medical license.
Spent less than 10 minutes on initial visit. Felt extremely rushed. Made absolutely no eye contact and all and had a dead fish handshake. Felt like he treated me like a number not like a real person with feelings. Saw him once and asked for someone else. He seems very full of himself and conceited. You can tell he thinks he's gods gift to medicine. I feel bad for his wife Lisa as she seems like a much nicer person. Also was surprised at his age. He looks like a teenager barely old enough to drive.
Dr batson has been said by two colleges hes arragent and doesn't listen to his patients. After 6 yrs I was misdiagnosed n was subsequently hospitalized bc he wouldn't change a mood stabilizer. This man ruined my life for so many years. I do not recommend him to anyone. He comes off knowing better then you know yourself. I'm saddened by the treatemed I received . Also he shows he has no time to listen and rushes out of the office. Please think twice then to go to this quack that just wants a paycheck
How was my visit? You mean the 4 minutes he spent with me and billed my insurance $440.00? That "visit"? This person has 0 personality, is one of those very arrogant doctors who believes that they're superior to everyone else. I'm leaving this review in the hopes that he never see another new patient again. Also because I just got a bill from his employer for $221.54! Please don't make an appointment with this robot.
and complained about his wife
Dr. Batson was an absolute joke. I sent my son to him. Dr Batson lacks confidence He apparently did all of his medical training in the Caribbean because he couldn't get into an American medical school. He was curt and stated that Wellbutrin could be given to my son who has a seizure disorder. When I confronted Dr. Batson on his error, he stood up and said that the appt was over.
I’m not sure why my review was deleted. I don’t ever write reviews, but feel I must. I went into this appointment with high hopes and an open mind. It was one of the most horrible experiences ever. People come to psychiatrists because they are suffering. Every time I tried to speak he shot me down. He actually said, “Why are you here?” I don’t know how he is practicing. I walked out feeling so bad. I am writing this to anyone who has anxiety issues or depression because we already suffer enough we come to psychiatrists for help not to be made to feel like we are worthless.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
