Very detailed and encourages more information even if you don't think it's related. She's very attentive and has helped me treat and deal with issues for last 3 yrs.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bekele's for the past three and a half years. She has been absolutely phenomenal in her bedside manner, diagnosis, and treatment plans. She genuinely cares very deeply about her patients and always has time to answer any questions I am having or address any concerns I may be having at the time. I would highly recommend anyone to her! :)

Dr. Bekele is a good doctor. The poor rating is based on performance, attention to the patients history (forgot I had an MRI where she revealed much damage to my spine), and struggles to fill out paperwork and important documents. I think she means well, but has just forgotten. That wouldn’t have been such a big deal if it wasn’t a work injury. Those things require prompt cooperation from treating doctors and if someone is accepting the payment of workers comp, they should be familiar with how particular this system is. Following up often with the office, Dr. Bekele was difficult to get ahold of and unresponsive when requesting documents of her recommendations. Almost half a dozen times, documents were either filled out incorrectly, not on time, or not at all, leading to a rejection in treatment from the insurance company. When spasms are involved and treatment is denied, this can be and is an excruciating experience when it takes 6 months to correct legally. This has happened. Twice. Thinking Dr. Bekeles workload is too packed to give current patients the compassion and attention they need. Disappointed because again, Dr. Bekele does seem engaged and genuinely caring in person, however her actions or lack of action have dangerously shown otherwise.

No bedside manner. She didn't want to hear anything you had to say.

I have never met a colder, more disinterested, and unprofessional physician than Zewditu Bekele-Arcuri. Despite the fact that I met with Dr. Bekele-Arcuri to seek a second opinion, after my other neurologists both certified that I would be permanently disabled unless I underwent two surgeries, she had the nerve to ask me why I was using a cane and told me that she didn't see anything in my MRIs that should cause pain-she refused to even view the sets of radiologists' reports that I had with me!!

She claims to know about cavernomas but knows nothing. Shushed me many times when I tried to tell her anything. She spews arrogance.

I went to see her hoping she would know about cavernomas and be able to follow me. The first thing she said was that ALL cavernomas are inoperable. I tried to explain that SEVERAL people on Angioma Alliance have had their cavernomas successfully removed in just the last month but she shushed me. Saddest part is I already know, per Dr. Spetzler, world-renowned cavernoma neurosurgeon, that my cavernoma is inoperable because of a DVA attached to it. She needs to work on her bed side manners!!!!

Dr. Bekele is hands down the best doctor I have had the pleasure of going to. She is smart, fearless and thinks outside the box.
