List of MIchael Augustus Chiusano's Reviews
He was adequate. The wait time wasn’t as bad as the reviews made me think they’d be. He wasn’t warm and fuzzy, but he was professional and competent. The office is old and cramped. They have a dumb policy; won’t give test results over the phone and you must make a follow up appointment to discuss them. (Even if they are normal/no problem results). They do not display results on the patient portal either. That can be very stressful when you are worried about results and are stuck waiting for an appointment. The staff were efficient; some were nice, some were adequate. Overall, it was fine. No one really wants to go see the urologist, but it worked out ok.
Dr. Chiusano explains things thoroughly in laymen's terms, answers all questions and is very knowledgeable. I have had two lithotripsy procedures and are very pleased with the results. He is pleasant and accommodating. His staff is also pleasant and accommodating. My wait time was very short each visit to his office. I highly recommend him.
Staff was friendly and courteous. Dr. is kind and knew what he was talking about and put it in layman's terms. I had my follow up scheduled right away.
I was very grateful to the staff who were able to squeeze me for an emergent visit. The dr was very attentive and answered all my questions clearly for me to understand. I had to wait 40 minutes but it was worth it.

First time to visit the doctor and was hesitant about setting up an appointment due to the negative reviews about the wait times. I arrived 20 minutes ahead of my appointment and provided the paperwork I already completed. There was alot of people already waiting and there was dead silence in the room. There is a tv playing medical related information but no sound. After over an hour wait, I was able to see the doctor and was a positive encounter. He was friendly and direct and took the time to fully answer my questions and ensure I had none left. He gave helpful advice. Since he is the closest urologist in quite a radius, his time is in demand and some people will have more complicated cases that require more of the doctors time. While it isn't fun with 'old school' waiting for a busy doctor, they might want to consider getting rid of the fish tank to allow more chairs and have the TV playing something with sound or pipe in music to help people pass the time while they wait for their turn!
1.5 hours past visit time and never got seen, absolutely ridiculous. A patient’s time matters too. Won’t be back
Arrived 20 minutes early to complete paperwork as requested for a 4:00 appointment. At 5:15, yes an hour and fifteen minutes late for appointment plus an extra 20 minutes there was still no end in site to this slow death. I had to leave. Ironically there is a sign in the office about making sure every patient gets the attention the deserve. Clearly the lack of attention to me and the other patients still waiting that we’re ahead of me makes that sign hypocritical. Would love to tell you about the wonderful care the doctor provides, but apparently I’ll never find out as the wizard of oz remains behind the curtain. I should have looked for reviews before making the appointment. But then again I probably would not have believed it was this bad until I experienced this first hand.
I had to wait 2hrs past my appointment time, my appointment lasted less then 5min and was something that could been discussed over the phone in my opinion. He then got snippy with me when u asked him about the long wait time and why I couldn't discuss results to a test over the phone, I've done it with other doctors. He lacked professionalism. if I could give 0 stars I would
He did not spend the time to review our medical records, Seemed stressed and upset and in rush.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
