Yelled at my elderly mother because she wouldn’t let him rush her into out of nowhere. He didn’t even realize that they didn’t remove kidney stent, and told her they did, she had to explain they NEVER did. She explained she had taken medication, has eaten, and hasn’t had a COVID test 24 hours before surgery. This guy is totally psychotic AVOID AT ALL COSTS! There’s a reason he has a 1 star grade on a lot of websites!
A fine senior with a devastating kidney stones condition had the terrible misfortune of landing in the care of this so called doctor. 45 days later, and several prescriptions ordered, some of which cost hundreds of dollars, and after prying into this patient inner parts, which according to her was a very painful experience, and having determined the presence of kidney stones inside her body, has yet to suggest/do anything about it. He basically milks the patient insurance machinery with repeated appointments that yield zero relief, to the point that today the senior walked away after being left in a very uncomfortable position half naked for at least half an hour, while conversing and cracking jokes in the hallway with his entourage. No compassion, just bill the insurance, on what appears to be a very successful practice, as patients line up to be seen by this very mediocre and ineffectual doctor. Beware of falling into the greedy network of which this doctor, apparently, must be a great asset financially, but what good does he provide to this particular case? None. Kidney stones are unforgiving until removed, and this big shot all he wants to do is prescribe antibiotics and medicine that fall short of the mark, regardless of the cost to the patient who can not sleep, or pee without excruciating pain, and oh yes, plenty of tylenol. What an insensitive MD, perhaps a little more efficient treatment, but at this point it does look like he is incapable to provide this solution, or worst still, does not care one way or the other. Six figure plus does not a good doctor make. Shame on this careless fraud. 1 Star.
Below par, not helpful with a negative approach. Uncaring in how he treated a very sick senior. 45 days of wasting her time, prescribing medicine that cost hundreds of dollars, yet failed to alleviate. A stay away type, hurtful and each decision worst than the one before. Yet he never lacks patients. 1 Star.
I have been treated by Dr. Meaglia. I highly recommend him as well as Dr. Tebeyani. Excellent, caring physicians. They made me feel like I was their only patient. No rush, all questions answered and great staff too from front desk to back office.
This is way before COVIT-19. I was originally very impressed with Dr. Meaglia for setting up an emergency operation for kidney stone removal in a matter of a couple of days. Because of my pain, I did not spend the time to research his background and his reviews, and also the reviews for Orange County Urology Associates, where he works. After my procedure, I found it IMPOSSIBLE to get his office to answer my phone calls (they would not even pick-up their phones). This is was back in February and way before COVIT-19 shelter-in-place orders. I had complications, pain, my medicine was not ordered properly, and I could not reach his office. After trying his office unsuccessfully for few days, I ended up in the emergency room, costing me my entire insurance deductible of few thousand dollars. When I saw him in his office three weeks after my procedure for stent removal, I did mention to him that it was impossible to get in touch with his office. He calmly mentioned that central phone service was part of a cost saving measure for him and his partners at the Orange County Urology Associates. It cost me an ER visit and days of agony.Three months after my procedure, I am still in pain. I am still sorting out bills from my emergency room visit, which could have been avoided if his office would have responded to my repeated calls. I feel that I was treated very inhumanly after my procedure.

My father is 82 and had a procedure that didn’t work. The infamous words of the doctor, “If this doesn’t work, don’t come back to see me.” The worst part: My father is still getting up 45 times a night. $7,000 and one year later my father feels angry. I wanted to give a zero star rating but wasn’t allowed to here.

In 2 visits, both of which were efficient & thorough, Dr. Meaglia quickly diagnosed my prostate issue and a 1 inch kidney stone that needed to come out. Surgery was promptly scheduled, and he took care of both issues in a 3 hour procedure. The results were excellent & still excellent 1 year later. I highly recommend Dr. Meaglia, he does listen to all the details you express about your condition, but he is also to the point and really understands what is critical to your health, which treatments work & help your health & well being, as well as the treatments that are a waste of your time & money. Dr. Meaglia is the man I give him a 10!

Dr. Meaglia is a great physician. Very professional, yet personable. He takes his time and listens to what you're saying which is, unfortunately, not that common with most doctors. My father saw him for years as well and was very impressed. I highly recommend Dr. Meaglia.
worst experience. would not recommend
Alex at Dr. Meaglia's office was very professional and help me set up my initial appointment I looking forward to meeting Dr. Meaglia
Came for an appointment with my father. We arrived 10 minutes early and then was told he had to stop at the hospital before he could make it to the office. After sitting in the waiting room for about 50 minutes I had to ask the staff what the update would be. They said about another 10 minutes. In my opinion it would be nice for the staff to update the patient if they are going to have to wait a long period of time. However the Dr was very nice. Wish that he could get the staff to be more attentive!
My first visit to Dr Meaglia was in my mind highly successful.. I reviewed other comments about him and understand why he may not be to considered a five star level. Dr. Meaglia is a fast thinking and rapid communicating excellent physician physician . If you are prepared for rapid diagnosis of a problem, he is you man. My visit was to the San Clemente office and the wait. Was only about 10 minutes while he took care of other patients. The office staff was courteous and efficient.
