Nice office, staff & doctor but did not find my sons tumor after four or five office visits. Just kept giving him antibiotics and steroids. I had to DEMAND a CT scan, which he refused to approve until I said I would pay for it out of pocket. Dr. Wohlgemuth finally agreed to order it, all the while saying nothing would be found. He called me the very next day PROFUSELY apologizing saying my son had a very large cancerous tumor and that we needed to get him checked into CHOC ASAP. My son was diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma stage 4C at the age of 15. By the grace of God; prayers from around the world; and all the great doctors and nurses at CHOC of Orange, most especially, the AMAZING Oncologist, Dr. Irvan Kirov at CHOC, my son is alive today.
I wish everything he inflicted on others returned back to him. This is not a doctor, this is a businessman who has been bought off by big pharmacy.
I wish I could give a NEGATIVE rating nice guy but... After many visits with urgent care and my sons pediatrician, I thought it best to seek a specialist. We took our son to Dr. Wohlgemuth multiple times due to constant ENT issues, swollen lymph nodes, etc. Every time we went, Dr. Wohlgemuth stuck this black tube through his nose and always came back saying nothing was found. He would just prescribe antibiotics and steroids (steroids being one of the worst things he could have prescribed!). After the 5th or 6th visit, I requested he authorize an MRI, which he was reluctant to do, he said, nothing would be found, but with my firm instance, he finally authorized. The morning of the second day after the MRI was done, Dr. Wohlgemuth called me and said, I am so sorry to tell you this, but the MRI shows cancer!!!!! We immediately checked our son into CHOC of Orange and received incredible help and with the grace of God, our son is alive today. He was diagnosed with stage 4C Nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Dr. Wohlgemuth missed a very large tumor which neither I or his oncologist could ever understand. Be careful.
Creepy. He said some very inappropriate things (sexual) to me in his office. He might be good but this was so wrong. I waited for over three (3) hours to see this whack and I was so disappointed. He also said some very (sexual) things to me. Never would I recommend him.
This doctor is so thoughtful and caring. He spent a lot of time with me answering and asking questions. I had a bout of dizziness/vertigo which could have been due to an autoimmune issue I have, but he calmed my nerves and put my mind at ease. We also did follow up testing to make sure of the diagnosis.
Caring expert explains situation options and plan. Manages his support staff effectively. Best of several ents Ive seen.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Dr. Wohlegmuth is amazing!! After two years of battling vertigo and being misdiagnosed by a previous ENT, I found Dr. Wohlegmuth to be a caring and compassionate doctor. He listened to me and asked me tons of questions before he made his diagnosis. He explained my condition, what I could expect in the future, and gave me a course of action for treatment. I can see why it took so long to get an appointment with him, but I definitely was not disappointed by him or his awesome office staff.
Help me get through some difficult cancer. Really cares about the patients and goes the extra mile to make sure that things are done properly. Would not see anyone else. Some times runs a little late but that is because he takes the time needed with everyone.
Dr. W. has a great bedside manner,. He was punctual and spent all the time needed with me to explain his diagnosis. He put me at ease and involved me in the decision making. His diagnosis was confirmed with the lab results results. He called me personally to explain the results and see how I was doing after the office procedure. Thanks to him, my piece of mind is restored. Thank you Doc W.. His staff was friendly. I highly recommend him.

I cant say Ive ever posted a review on a doctor before, but thought I should share my experience with Dr. Wohlgemuth. Going to a great doctor reminds you how mediocre others can be. Dr. Wohlgemuth is a great doctor. Great bedside manner, but more importantly, it is obvious he knows exactly what hes doing every step of the way. He takes time to answer every question without making you feel rushed or stupid for asking, and he gives very specific, detailed answers. But the best part is I rarely have any questions after he walks me through everything in a thorough, easytounderstand explanation.
Dr. Wohlgemuth is easy to talk to and it's clear that he knows what he's talking about. It sometimes takes a little bit of time to get an appointment with him, but he is definitely worth the wait.
He figured out my husband had sleep apnea and sent him to a dentist who fitted him with a dental appliance and it worked! I think he really saved my husbands life. And hes so personable too. Thank you, Dr Wohlgemuth!
Ive never discounted another review. Ever. But Ive seen Dr. Wohlgemuth dozens of times for my own issues and for two of my childrens as well. He is the best, both medically and as a person. I came across this website because I moved hundreds of miles away but trust no one else to do surgery on me. He also saved a friend life using conservative methods where any other doctor would have put him through aggressive surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, the works. That was over 10 years ago. But...the fewer people that know how good Dr. W is, the shorter wait time for us, right?
Had such a bad experience with Dr. Wohlgemoth at this facility. So many things, where do I begin....I had appointments rescheduled multiple times. Almost every time I went, the wait was over an hour, just to get taken back into the offices. The last straw for me was when I had taken time off work, juggled by schedule, and booked an early appointment thinking that there would not be as long of a wait first thing in the morning. WRONG! Dr. Wohlgemoth showed up 45 minutes later than his first scheduled appointment time. I waited over an hour to be seen and ended up leaving to get to work without even seeing him. The staff barely even apologized. I was so frustrated that I had done all this juggling of my schedule to be treated like this. Too bad doctors dont have any repercussions for how they treat patients. He has no value for other peoples time. Will never go here again!
If you would like to be talked down to from a Dr. then I would recommend going tot him. I have dealt with sinusitis for years and heard he was the ENT to go to. Unfortunately, I have been going to him for over three years and my problem has only gotten worse. I had sinus surgery from him and since I my issues continued. It was apparent that he was getting annoyed that I was not getting better and co tinued to just have me do a catscan and take new meds. My final apppointment he was extremely rude and told me he exhausted all resources and that he couldnt help me. It was so terrible to hear from a doctor that you trusted to say those words. He was so taken back that my case was difficult that he became beyond empathetic and insensitive. I promise you I will find a solution and will never go to a doctor that is rude and unhelpful. Please do not waste your time as I did.
Doctor Wohlgemuth is a wonderful doctor. My 17 month old son had a surgery to put tubes in his ears and we had some very concerning symptoms after this surgery. Doctor Wohlgemuth did not perform the surgery but was a doctor on call and not only was he patient and so informative with every little question a mom would ask :) but he offered to meet us at his office on a Sunday afternoon to take a look at my sons ears. He is by far one of the nicest, and most gentle, caring Doctors I have come across. I would recommend him for sure!!
Worst experience ever!! My daughter was seen for reoccurring nose bleeds. Dr. Wohlgemuth had the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. While he was numbing her nose (with a needle) and she was shaking and crying because it was painful he sharply told her to stop crying! Needless to say, we stopped mid procedure and left. He told my daughter she was disrespectful because she corrected him on some of her medical history, really? Wow! I would never recommend this doctor to anyone.
I went to this doctor under a referral from my primary physician. They called me numerous times prior to the appointment to ensure I was on time and had my papers filled out so as to have a smooth visit. I arrived early as requested since this was my first visit. I waited 45 minutes beyond my time or a total of 55 minutes. I asked for a refund of my copay and for my parking. They gave that to me noting that if I waited a few minutes more they could put me in a room. That would just be another wait as usual. I am tired of this lack of respect for patients. I told them to call me if they can figure out how to be on time. To add insult, the parking credit given was not enough to cover the time they kept me waiting. As in other professions, I would expect at least a little courtesy to inform patents along the way as to the timing and progress. This lack of professionalism and patient respect is appalling to me.
Very nice person and good bedside manner however, questionable skills. Brought my son to him 3 or 4 times and just kept doing the same thing, giving him anitbiotics and looking up his nose. It wasnt until I demanded a biopsy and MRI that we found out that my son had stage 4 cancer!!! By the grace of God, my son is in remission.
