Joey Gee's Online Review Report Card

I am surprised to see negative reviews; I wish more patients would leave reviews. Before I saw Dr. Joey Gee, every nurse, doctor, specialist, and patients would praise him upon hearing I was going to see and have seen him. Dr. Gee is attentive with good bedside manner. I was sad to lose him due to losing my private insurance in 2020. I have a complicated health history and he has helped me when other doctors did not know what to do, because he is well versed in other conditions. He was the first neurologist of many to treat my daughter’s complicated epilepsy from her early teens. We are happy that my daughter has private healthcare again, and that she can return to Dr.Gee. The entire Mission Viejo Staff are very friendly and treated well by Dr.Gee. Thanks Dr. Gee and Team!

Not sure what to make of his reviews. It was one of the oddest doctors appointments I've had. The room had a ton of very intricate Marvel figurines, along with Batman, etc... These were not toys, way to intricate for that. Doc came in and though the entire nerve conduction study maybe said 15 words to me. Also seemed to be in a huge rush to do it. Didn't really explain the procedure and would not give me results, I'll have to get them from the ordering doctor. He may be very good at his job, I have no way of telling, but the lack of interaction makes it very hard for him to know what exactly to test. I think he had something wrong with his voice, but he didn't explain.

I have seen this doctor for three years now he has always been short with me but I’ve always attributed it to him dealing with more important patients than me which I understand. I deal with migraines he wouldn’t even allow me to get a word in edgewise. He literally opened the door and walked out while I was still speaking with him. I have reached out to his office because they failed to update my medication frequency w/ my pharmacy. no call back I’ve been waiting for a callback for four days now

Dr. Gee is one of the best Neurologists in OC but this practice needs to replace their front office and back office staff NEVER receive phone calls back The only way I can schedule an appoint is if I show up at the office in person Dont bother leaving a vm message with scheduling or for his MA.

Curt and condescending. I would not recommend Dr Gee. Ive worked in healthcare for almost 30 years and rarely do I meet physicians I dont like Dr Gee is one of them.

Dr. Gee doesn’t see under age patients, but I beg him and sure my son was having seizures. I have a long history of being sick and dr. Gee has done everything is possible to help me. He’s caring compassionate. Also people forgot that doctors don’t want to heard their life story. He’s very serious but very caring.

Least professional doctor I have ever seen. Zero compassion or empathy. Exam room looked like a Disney overdose.

Be prepared to to meet a neurologist with an attitude He didn’t even introduce himself and rudely said upon first meeting what am I looking at ? What do you need ?” 10 days after the Botox treatment from hell I have an eye I can barely even open and a smile that severely droops. When I called the front office to request a visit next week I was told in a very rude tone that they could not accommodate and “if this is a REAL emergency you need to go to the ER”. Ridiculous It’s a case of a neurologist who can’t do Botox for muscle spasmssynkinesis. I will be reporting this.
