List of Orange County Urology Associates's Reviews
I would never normally take the time to write a bad review about a doctors office as my parents are doctors. But please avoid this office. I was in serious pain and it took me 4 days of reaching out daily to get a call back. I had to take time away from my own patients just on trying to schedule the appointment. 7 days later I received a random text from someone asking for my DOB, all my info, my insurance card and personal info. HIPPA violation? Um yes texting is not a ethical/secure way to exchange identifying information. It's been now a week I still haven't been able to schedule an appointment. I am going elsewhere because I can't even imagine how this office would treat patients if this is their protocol. It's not okay, it's not ethical.
Husband came here to see his urologist pre and post op. Long wait times even with a scheduled appointment. Staff are curt and follow protocol no matter the issue. Mandatory urinalysis and bladder scan even if you be are just going over records with the Dr. Billing problems.Wouldn't even let spouses use the restroom in the office while the restrooms in the building are under construction. The reason: Covid...yet staff at the front have masks unlatched and off face. Such hypocrisy. Too bad because we love the doctor.
Made an appointment to see Dr. Spitz two months ago. Took time off work, drove 30 minutes to get there. Arrived at my appointment 10 minutes early just to be told that he's running AT LEAST an hour behind. I asked why didn't you call me to let me know he's running behind. Her rude response was "We don't do that". I told her, so basically you expect people to wait for an unknown amount of time in the middle of the day? Her response "if you don't want to wait I can reschedule you for 3 months down the line". This is not an office, it's a circus ran by bunch of clowns. Stay clear and take your package to another Dr. who will actually respect your time and business.
Terrible customer service, this place is not very professional. Impossible to get ahold of someone on the phone. Dr. Karan Singh was rude and of no help during my visit. I do not recommend this practice.
This center is a fraud. First I called them for an appointment to go over some lab results. They told me I had to pay $300 up front just to make an appointment. I did, but then I called my insurance and they said it was very weird they wanted any money before the appointment and they were actually in my network so I should have been charged the co-pays only. Ok, I found a different clinic and called them to cancel the appointment. They said they'd refund the $300. Now, it's been over 10 days and I haven't received any refunds. In the meantime I have written them twice. First they wrote that they would follow up with their billing department, the second time they just ignored my email. I had to file Charge Dispute with the Credit card. Please beware of these shady practices.
I had an excellent experience with Dr Meaglia and his staff. He performed a relative new porceedure that took me off of using a catheter 5 times a day and once a night. No more serlization procedures no more infections. He is sharp and knows his business. His approach was head and shoulders to other Doctors that did this procedure based on feed back I garnered from online forums. Truly a blessing to see such a quality health care professional .
Been 4 times and every time was a new problem. First time they were unfriendly, next time they didn't have my supplies ready for minor surgery, so had to wait for them to get delivered from another office. Another time I was not listed on their calendar. But the straw that broke this camel's back was not telling me the office has moved. I'll be finding a more patient centered doctor's service. Dr Randell is great. Unfortunately, it's the office staff that are the issue.
Hey peeps don't in any way do business with this office or any of their offices. I just had a disturbing experience with them and when I spoke with Diane their office manger I expressed how hesitant I was to see their doctor because of the the bad online reviews and her response was "We don't care about online reviews" then she hung up. Beware do not put your health and safety in their hands. It goes to show you that even though reviews online can be exaggerated they also do show a consistency of how the overall business performs.
After reading reviews I anticipated the worst. But the adorable woman behind the desk was truly adorable and gave me paperwork to fill out. The nurse called me in before ai could even finish! No waiting. She took vitals and history. Chatted to put me at ease. Dr came in and spent at least 30 minutes talking. yes, talking. Explained my options for a quick recovery and reassured me I was fine! I wanted to hug him!Dr. Meaglia was wonderful. The entire staff was wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone that wants a low stress caring environment!
I don't normally like to leave reviews like this but my experience at Dr. Singh's office was l was literally shaking for 20 minutes after a procedure done at this office. Allow me to explain. The first time I went in to see Dr. Singh it was for a cystoscopy. It went well, no issues, no complaints. The catheter was unpleasant but it's not supposed to be pleasant. It went pretty fast and I left with no complaints. My second visit was a urodynamics test. It's a procedure where a catheter has to go in once to drain urine after a test, then once again to fill up the bladder to test how the bladder responds. From the moment I walked into the office my experience was unpleasant.1. When I made the appointment the secretary told me to come in an hour early and with a full bladder. I did. When I arrived , I said hello to the secretary; the secretary did not say hello back and just asked for my last name. It's a minor thing I admit but when I mentioned that a secretary told me to come in an hour early she rudely told me that "she didn't know who told me that". It's the responsibility of your office to schedule properly, hence you should apologize on behalf of the office even if it isn't your personal fault. This is evidence of poor training of staff in my view. That's an hour of my day I don't get back -- do I get anything for it? No of course not I'm just another patient I'm human meat my concerns and my time are irrelevant. The only important thing is that I'm billed and the office send insurance company collect their money right?2. The procedure begins. Everything goes fine in the beginning. Dr. Singh assigns me a male nurses aide who at first seems to know what he is doing but later proves incompetent though affable. Allow me to explain. As I mentioned earlier, this procedure requires a catheter being inserted TWICE. This nurse failed to realize that the electrodes that you tape to the inner thigh have to be taped tightly otherwise it throws off the reading. Instead of asking for assistance, he said the catheter wasn't reading properly so he inserted another catheter.Ok, so it's a mistake with the machine. Fine, I told myself. I'll endure the unpleasant and very uncomfortable experience of having a catheter pushed through my urethra again. Nope, AGAIN the catheter didn't get a reading. At this point you might think the nurse would get assistance to figure out if he's doing something incorrectly. Nope, he's poorly trained so he puts a different catheter and once AGAIN I have to have a new catheter inserted. At this point the nurse finds another male nurse to come in and assist. This nurse has an attitude; neither of these incompetent nurses have any ability to help calm a patient down, but at least the first one was kind and compassionate and tried his best. The second one loudly told me to RELAX and basically had a poor attitude. He seemed irritable and stormed out of the room when after the catheter being in steered TWO MORE TIMES I finally had to just say aloud "it's fucking painful". I didn't yell this, I exclaimed it in utter pain and frustration. The second nurse storms out of the room without a word, because he's an incompetent person with a poor attitude who not only doesn't know how to talk to patients at all, but can't be bothered to explain what he's doing as he's doing it. I'm human meat to this nurse, this is how I felt anyway. He kept trying to shove the catheter into my urethra and insisted I relax loudly and rudely. Finally a female nurse comes in, calms me down, basically says all the right things to help me through the process. Turns out the first two nurses didn't realize the electrodes weren't taped to my skin properly and that was the issue. But of course, let's not apologize about that because no it's ME not being able to RELAX right second male nurse? The female nurse made the process easy. She clearly had a lot more experience and applied more numbing cream and voila the catheter slipped right in. What took the first two nurses about half an hour took the female nurse who's been with the doctor for 3 years about 5 minutes. This ordeal could have been prevented with some better understanding of the catheter machine and electrodes and the nurses being able to call on other nurses for assistance. Unfortunately my guess is the practice is so overbooked that they instead just decided to shove more catheters up my urethra. And again, I'm just human meat my concerns or complaints are clearly irrelevant.Dr. Singh didn't care to properly train his staff to insert two catheters, one in the urethra and one in the anus, for this very delicate and uncomfortable procedure. One could make the case. Poor Regards,Babak Golshahi

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
