Shahram Javaheri's Online Review Report Card

I have a severe heart condition (had open heart surgery a year ago) and diabetic. I was referred to Dr. Shahram Javaheri @ Mission Endoscopy Inc. for my colonoscopy. I was scheduled for the procedure twice and every time, 30 minutes prior to the procedure, the doctor cancelled my appointment. Every time I have had to stop my important heart medications and blood thinners for one week before and I had to do a no food diet and stopped insulins for 36 hours prior to the procedure. Stopping my medication and changing my diet, as a heart patient and diabetic, can be life treating for me. The doctor did not care about that when he decided to cancel my appointment on two separate occasions, each time just 30 minutes before my appointment. In that office, any cancelation by a patient later than 48 hours will incurs a $150.00 penalty that the patient must pay. Clearly they value their own time and interests, but don’t have the same level of care for their patients I do not trust this doctor

I went in for a Colonoscopy/Endoscopy. After telling the PA and the doctor that I wanted to be put out, I was given a twilight sedation that did not work. The last time I was put out. While I was getting my IV put in, I told them that I requested to be put out and they told me that I was getting "Twilight" sedation. I told them that the sedation was not working and the doctor continued with the procedure. It was the most excruciating pain I had ever been through. Afterward I asked him why he did not put me out and he said he did what my insurance approved. I called my insurance the next day and they told me that they definitely approved of full sedation for this procedure. I filed a grievance against Dr. Javaheri. My insurance contacted his office and was lied to or had not entered my request in the file that I had wanted full sedation. I will never go back to this doctor again.

Nice guy…I really liked him and honestly the front desk is great. I give all front desk ppl grace cause that job has got to be painful at times. I would recommend the doc to my mother-in-law and we get along :).

If you are looking for a caring doctor, Shahram Javaheri is not one. My wife is having serious gastrointestinal problems and made an appointment with Dr. Javaheri. Then a day before the appointment they called an moved the appointment back one month. After waiting two months they call the day before the new appointment and notify use the Dr. Javaheri is no longer seeing new patients. It would have been if he would had let us know at the time of the first appointment. He has no consideration for others, an no matter how you look at it, that means he will never care how he treats you

They don't even deserve one star. DO NOT recommend doctor Javaheri. He didn't get back to us to review ultrasound results he ordered. We called several times and his front desk people are rude and they are absolutely no help. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND RISK YOUR HEALTH since this doctor doesn't care about the pain and suffer his patients go through.

If you really care about your health stay away from this dr. All he cares about is getting more patients, I was in a serious condition and pain, he ordered me a test, the result was ready after 3 business days but they never got back to me, after 3 weeks of follow up the front desk told me rudely that they lost my result so they have to request for it and it takes time she explained : after we get the result then it takes up to 4 weeks for doctor to take a look at it. I explained again that I’m in serious condition and PAIN but they didn’t care. My condition got WORSE and I had to start everything over with another doctor. I didn’t find them responsible about the patients.

Do not recommend Dr. Javaheri's office. The front desk staff is terrible and Dr. Javaheri is not available to discuss results of testing. Terrible patient care.

My husband had been having issues for years with his esophagus problem and was getting much worse. The prior GI doctor didn’t seek out answers so we saw Dr Javaheri who sent him for a special test and ended up with a diagnosis of alchalasia type 2. A thoracic surgeon performed surgery and he is much better. Dr Javaheri was so informative sharing what the problem was and eased our minds about the outcome. Great doctor.
