Doc Carr is the very best. He discovered my wife's Lupus when other docs missed it. You are would be lucky to have him in your corner. He is in high demand though so understand that his practice is very busy. Thanks again doc
I feel very fortunate that I found Dr Carr years 11 years ago. He helped me navigate my health concerns and referred me to other practitioners that augmented my health care plan. I would definitely recommend him to others in need of an allergy specialist. Also, I need to give a special shout out to his office staff for always making themselves available to take care of our needs, especially paperwork processing. The have always expedited important things my family and I needed for work and school.
Wait...and wait some more! The last time it was 1.5 hrs in the office, mostly waiting. We have been very frustrated with the office situation. They have too many patients. When I arrive for appt, I see that there are 4 other patients within minutes of our appt. And if you need to change an appt- yeah...good luck, you'll be told to wait another month, as I was. Another time they canceled my appt, but did not notify me (they said they left a message, but I have no record) and I found out when I arrived. Plus I had to pay $4 for parking (which they said they don't reimburse). The Dr. does take time with you. No thanks, getting another referral and requesting a records release for my child.
My son has seen Dr. Carr for the past 3-4 years. They diagnosed him with asthma and prescribed advair and a rescue inhaler when needed. He last saw them in 2019. Today he needed refills for his advair and they denied him. What? I called and they said he needs to come in. Seriously? His asthma has NOT changed! He NEEDS the advair to keep his lungs from becoming inflamed this has not changed! So basically to get a refill they want him to come in for NO REASON other than to bill an office visit. This is absurd! This is an office that is in it for the $$ and not for the health of your child as was made blatantly obvious to me today.
I took my 7 year old son to see Dr. Carr and was super happy with him. He took the time to explain everything and did all the right test for my son. We have been seeing different doctors since he was just little trying to figure out all his symptoms and I feel like Dr. Carr is the first Dr that actually had answers for me! We will definitely continue to see him. He also had great bedside manners and my son felt very comfortable with him.
Dr. Carr is such an amazing, caring individual and spends time getting to know you. He is so informed and personable! I have been to countless doctors and he by far is the top of them!
Very kind, sweet doctor who spends care and time with the patient!!
The billing issues are a nightmare and can take a long time to correct (6 months in one instance). Some of the staff go above and beyond and they get 5 stars, but some seem miserable and it's not welcoming. They could use some updating with their systems too, and make sure the clinics are clean... there was a period we went 3 times per week and the same blood was on the same chair for weeks in the waiting room and on the wall in the private room. If it takes a month to get an appointment and they call 3 days before (call on a Friday, appointment is on a Monday) that the insurance denied coverage (because someone in the office coded it incorrectly) its not only annoying it's a waste of time and a massive inconvenience. This happened three times this year! There seemed to be an honest mistake in telling me my son did not have asthma, only to call back the same afternoon letting me know they had read the wrong patients results. I am happy that the dr had gone over his results again to catch the error made. I am unsure how this happened but it meant more appointments and changes to medications. The dr's themselves seem competent but there does seem to be mixed methods in how they do things which can be confusing when I'm recommended one thing, and the other dr says it's not needed. Some consistency would make it easier to understand the conditions our family is dealing with. Overall I like the Drs but their practice is being poorly run.
Brought my son here to see Dr. Carr, my pediatrician recommended we come in. He's had hives for 3 weeks and it's been a frustrating road!! This Dr was GREAT! Very knowledgeable and great bedside manner. He helped us and the staff is great too! The front staff isn't as friendly as the back staff- but that's ok the Dr and his nurses are AWESOME!! Thank you!!
the stuff named my kid Miss Allergy!! were alarmed of my daughters numbers for allergies, they don't seem to have experience with cases like that.He mentioned how high the numbers were and even though i mentioned she can eat those items and her body accepts them now, he ignored it. guess what? after all the testing he said but it looks like she can eat them, after making feel my kid like an extreme case.He seem more concern in getting my daughter in a program in his office than knowing her case.I am looking for a dr that is aggressive knowledgeable and attentive to our needs, i am not looking for a smiley dr that is casual.i come from NYC where she was one of the smallest concerned case. On top of that they ask for $20 for writing a letter which i needed to take with me on a plane in order fro me to carry her Benadryl and epipen on the plane. Can anyone recommend a serious and extremely knowlageable allergist in oc

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
