I was refered to Dr. Bardales for an aspiration biopsy on one of the 3 thyroid nodules that had grown since sonogram last year. Anything with needles is worrisome. Prior to my appointment Aug 13th I was sent a brochure from Precision Pathology - one of the most amazing information brochures ever - the information was detailed but readable - never talked down to the patient - 1st thing the Dr. Bardales asked was " Are you scared" - I could honestly say no - not about the procedure - just concerned about resultsl" natural reaction - Absolutely easiest, painless procedure I've been thru - pinch of anesthetic less than at dentist , and light pressure felt when ultra thin needle inserted for biopsy - quickly/efficiently done - always assuring, and I was surprised when bandaid applied - all within 15 min! - no discomfort - in fact my son took me out for brunch down the road - and no problem eating/swallowing - Wish dentists were that easy - Staff amazing!!!

Today I had a Fine Needle Biopsy on my left thyroid . This was a repeat procedure since the Nodule had grown in a year and also developed microcalcifications When you walk into the office, it has a very down home feel and the Receptionist was just lovely and made my son and I feel comfortable and welcome. There were a few people ahead of me, but I only had to wait 15 minutes longer than my scheduled time. Dr Bardales and his Assistant were awesome. He sits with you first to know you and why you have come to him for this proceedure and any family history that many contribute to your condition. When it was time for the FNA, he gave me some Lidocane to numb the area, which I only felt a pinch going on and than took 4 sweeps of my nodule all the while explaining step by step what and why he was doing it! He was very professional, intelligent, and gentle. My son was impressed with him as well. If I need to have a procedure done in the future, I would definitely come here again. Highly Recommend!
