List of Sasi Mannem's Reviews
It appears no one in Austin needs to worry about Dr. Mannem touching their mouth. She decided to sell her business and run off. I believe she has left the Austin area. I originally went to Dr Mannem almost 2 years ago. I was told my 2 front teeth were thinning from lack of fluoride. She recommended veneers in the front then caps next to the veneers so that all the teeth would be uniform in color. The next 2 years were hell. Never more than a couple months went that I didn't have to return to her office for a cap falling off. I had to go back to her office at least 8 times. The last time I was in her office was early May. Just found out the company that bought her business took it over at the end of May. She DID NOT once mention to me that she was selling her business and would not be back. I just had another cap fall off. When I called the office is how I found out her business was sold. New business was going to be helpful and offer me a generous discount but it would of still cost $800 to fix. So essentially I paid Dr Mannem thousands of dollars to give meth mouth. And now I will start having to pay thousands more to other dentists to fix her mess. Does anyone know how to file a complaint on a dentist. I am surprised this lady still has her license. Does anyone know how to file a complaint on a dentist?
This place is the personification of over-servicing. If they recommend any substantial work it would definitely warrant getting a second opinion.Update on this. This rip-off artist had recommended $15000 worth of work the last time I saw them. I did get a second opinion and over a year later my new dentist recommended $0 worth of work. Do not trust these people!!
I've been seeing Dr. Mannem for about 5 years, and I've only ever had good experiences. She is always kind and engaging and asks if I have any questions or concerns. I feel that she is also very "tuned-in" to my needs as a patient - as an example, she recommended a cavity prevention rinse when she noticed I was continuing to get cavities despite brushing/flossing, and I haven't had a cavity since. The hygienist staff is great as well. I would definitely recommend Dr. Mannem to anyone looking for a dentist.

If I had to explain my experience with Mannem dentistry in one word it would be wonderful! I first called Dr Mannem's office because they were in my network. I was in a bit of a hurry to get my dental work done and needed an appointment quickly. I called and they were able to fit me in the very next morning. After I made the appointment I looked them up online and was very pleased with the result, especially since they have one visit crowns and I needed a crown. I knew for sure this was the place for me when I walked through the door. The receptionist was very nice and welcoming. Dr Mannem is very nice and has a great bedside manner. The office is very comfortable and clean. Ryan who did my cleaning was very kind and gentle. Without a doubt the most pleasant cleaning I have ever had. It turned out that I need three fillings, a crown and all 4 wisdom teeth pulled. I thought for sure this was going to take forever and be done in at least two visits. I was delighted to find that they were willing to do all the work in one visit! The dental assistant was very nice and he seemed cool. All the work was done in a very efficient and professional manner. I had very little swelling and the healing process went well. I am all healed today less than a month after I walked into their office and am very happy to say I have found the last dentist I will ever see!
I would not recommend this dentist. The staff was not friendly, clinical at best. And the doctor had such poor people skills. I went in for a routine cleaning and came out with a laundry list of overblown recommendations to deal with what they said was advanced gum disease. I went to a different dentist for an opinion and they said I just need a good cleaning and regular cleanings. Yikes. Not a fan!
I have been having a few issues with my teeth. After coming here twice; I felt more & more confident each time I had chosen the right dentist for my needs. Dr. Mannem and staff are very professional and kind. The atmosphere is clean and pleasant. They make you feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you Dr. Mannem, Ms. H. Davis
I've had multiple procedures done by this dentist and I'm so scared to go back for anything other than a cleaning. I've stayed with Sasi Mannem for several years because she's nice and the hygienists have always done a great job cleaning my teeth, and I haven't had a comparable experience elsewhere. But over the years, I've had so many procedures done by her that I've started to question the validity of her recommendations. Like the other review I've saw of her, it started out with replacing old fillings, and the cerec fillings never fit right. Then I started grinding my teeth and she said I cracked a few of my molars, and recommended getting crowns. While doing one of the procedures for a crown, she stopped and said she couldn't proceed, and wanted me to go see a specialist at her office instead. Between her and the specialist, they ended up recommending a bone graft, crown lengthening, root canal, or had to simply remove the tooth instead because a cavity has been opened up during the procedure. I was so frustrated and stressed out with the fact that I had gone from having no issues with the tooth to having to deal with all these additional procedures, and to possibly lose it anyway. I kept asking for explanations but felt the communication level wasn't sufficient. It is hard to go back to a health provider when I feel the communication and trust is lacking. It's stressful enough having to go seek for any medical service, and it's not acceptable having to deal with these additional issues.
I was a new patient here and had a GREAT experience! Very friendly staff, very nice office, and very helpful! Dr. Mannem was honest as to what I needed. I will definitely be back for more routine check ups.
I just happened on this Yelp page via Groupon and was shocked to see how many others had an experience like mine, courtesy of Dr. Mannem. I had to find a new dentist and had seen good things about Dr. Mannem on Healthgrades, so I went. I do remember the cleanings and exam being dragged out over two appointments and she told me that a silver filling I had was going to fall off and needed to go. Despite having had no problems with this filling, I let her talk me into a Cerec and she can really sell this sh*t.I got the Cerec and it never fit well, still doesn't. The thing was huge and not properly shaped after going back to Dr. Mannem twice afterwards to have it sanded down. I began to have an ache in my jaw and decided to go to another dentist. I told Dentist #2 the story and she just happens to be BFF's with Dr. Mannem, so she sends me back to her. Dr. Mannem pulls the same crap someone else mentioned with claiming my root was enflamed under the Cerec, so she pulled it off and stuffed the hole full of clove oil and dressing. I waited two weeks, went back, and she just stuck a new Cerec on with the same trouble grinding the thing down. This Cerec situation went through at least 8 visits and I finally had to find a new dentist who was able to grind the thing down enough that it wasn't jacking up my bite. Still, I get aches in my jaw and grind my teeth with the Cerec, whereas I didn't really have this problem before. I'd love to just have the tooth pulled out, but to avoid bone loss, I have to keep this janky souped up tooth that Dr. Mannem so kindly upgraded.Dr. Mannem is terrible. Simply awful and possibly scammy. Don't go to her if you value your teeth.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
