Walthour C Scott Md's Online Review Report Card

I just finished a two year followup re Total Knee Replacement (right knee) with Dr. Walthour.  In my opinion...Dr Walthour is a compassionate and caring surgeon and should I ever need more orthopedic care...he is definitely my go-to doctor. He answered every question I asked in a friendly manner (just like to talking to your best friend across coffee!) and I trust him completely.  Thanks  Dr. Walthour...  a great experience!

The doctor is an active listener. Always prepared. I have an issue with billing from a procedure in his office. He is writing a letter to help clear up confusion with coding. He is a very caring doctor that makes sure you understand the answers to questions related to issues and X-rays.

The worst doctor I've ever met in my entire life! I was referred to him by my doctor in regards to knee pain. My doctor prescribed some cream for me claiming that I may have osteoarthritis.  When I've seen him, he didn't seem too welcoming and was rushing me to get out. He ordered an x-ray and claimed that it was normal and diagnose me with PFPS. He said that I do not have osteoarthritis and just need to do some physical therapy. Nothing was prescribed to help with the pain. He also claimed that he will order a bone density test but I've never received a call to schedule an appointment. Just a few weeks ago, I've message his team about the bone density test, they've claimed that it was requested. I had to call in and make an appointment myself. I got that done and the test confirm that I was osteopenia. I've message his team about treatment and HE responded that he will route me back to my MD for treatment. HE specialize in this field but going to route me back to my MD for treatment?! I thought that was HIS job. His CMA lied that my MD was aware of it and she wanted me to schedule an appt with her. When I've scheduled the appt, she had NO clue what I was talking about and trying her best to answer my questions. She didn't know how to treat it and was looking at previous test to guide her. All she suggest I do was to take vitamin D and calcium supplements. She asked if I was prescribed anything, I've told her NO. I told her I need to be refer to a different orthopedic asap because my knees are getting more painful everyday. She claimed that she will, so I'm hoping it'll be a great doctor next time. Dr. Walthour was a waste time.

Dr. Walthour is as great as they come. He is direct and thorough in his explanations and his post operative management is awesome. Simply put, Dr. Walthour is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He is truly a patient advocate. I chose Dr. Walthour for a second opinion for problems with a frozen right shoulder. He thoroughly explained my problem and provided a surgical option which I took. 5 weeks after surgery, I am feeling better than I have over the last 8 months. The staff at his office in Tracy, Ca., are nothing short of polite and accommodating. I would not hesitate to choose Dr. Walthour if I should ever need orthopedic surgery.

Kid friendly, transparent, realistic. I was so relieved to have him treat my daughter, he saw the urgency and wasted no time. Thank you!

Dr. Walthour was a referral for my daughters fractured wrist and I could not be happier! Literally the nicest most personable Doctor I have ever seen/met!! Dr. Walthour showed so much compassion for my daughter during her visit and assured we understood everything about her injury and her recovery. I really felt as though he took his time with us, we didn't feel rushed during our visits. I can't say how nice he was. I loved how he took his time to actually come in and say hello and give hands shakes to all of us, including my 2 toddlers! I highly recommend him if you're looking for an orthopedic doctor. I just wish he was a primary doctor :)

He is the BEST ..he fixed my compound fracture of my leg ..i had no cast no problems ..fully walking in no time ..thank you dr.walthour ..u are the best

Dr. Walthour is very thorough in his explanation of conditions and options. He goes into surgery only if it's the best option. As a surgeon he is a perfectionist. He is friendly as well as professional and his staff is top notch!

Very excellent, He takes thebtime to answer questions and is extremely skilled. I had a wonderful outcome from my shoulder surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Walthour
