List of Tien T. Nguyen's Reviews
I was the last patient of the day. The Dr. didn't take any time to ask for my personal history of past injuries. I was so shocked by the manner I was being treated, I forgot to explain my current symptoms. There was no compassion, no empathy.I have to guess that I'm only there so he can make money for doing bare minimum. My advice is don't be his last patient of the day because dinner or a drink will be on his mind. Not you.
Dr Nguyen did a revision lamelectomy on my lower back He is a wonderful doctor who LISTENS TO HIS PATIENTS. I highly recommend him Awesome neurosurgeon
I was admitted for emergency surgery. Needless to say, I was very scared. Not only was it my spinal cord, I didn't know one thing about the Dr who would be operating on me! I was so blessed to have been in the right hospital because Dr. Nguyen is brilliant. I read the other reviews. He was never rude to me. He's a brilliant neurosurgeon, not a bedside comedian. He saved me from possible permanent damage and disability. Thank you, Dr. Nguyen!
Worst doctor EVER! Didnt explain anything to me about my neck surgery, no post-op care and discharged with no notification, didnt even check my surgery site. Office staff just as cold and not helpful with post- op care. Just kicked to the curb to fend for myself! Overrated as far as I'm concerned. First and last surgery with this quack who only cares about a paycheck!
Dec. 2004 Dr. Nguyen removed a large tumor from my brain at UCLA medical center. It is now 15.5 years after that surgery. He saved my life and was very kind, attentive and answered all my questions with kindness and compassion for my situation. He gave me his honest viewpoint of my prognosis and future potentials. He is one of the best surgeons I have ever had to deal with. Thank you Dr. Nguyen.
Dr nguyen cared for my brother who sadly passed from esophageal ca with brain mets. As a family member , his sister, and as a nurse, i could not have asked for better care of my brother than was done by dr nguyen. Very easy to speak with, very available, very skillful and very kind.My brother ,regards his craniotomy , was given his best chance , which was all he asked, thanks to this physician, many thanks still ,
This doctor is very rude.
This doctor is very rude. he treats others with disrespect.
I really like Dr. Nguyen. He’s a serious dude, Straight to the point, a little dry but he’s also a super genius... sooooo.. I read a few reviews on a different platform complaining about his personality and giving him poor reviews because of it. For those patients- I say, grow up. He’s a freaking neurosurgeon. He’s lightyears smarter than almost all of us.Anyway, I saw him for a consult for 2 herniated discs. He explained my options. After thinking them over I opted for surgery. My paid level would become out of control and completely debilitating due to a large herniation at L5 S1.I explained my reasons for wanting surgery and he agreed it was a good choice for me.Surgery went well. My nurse at the hospital said he’s a brilliant surgeon which was nice to hear.I’m day 6 post op and stopped pain meds yesterday. Healing is slow and delicate but so far, so good.
I will recommend Dr Tien Nguyen at any time, to any body. He is the best in my book. The staff are so professional, it's unbelievable. Thanks Doctor💕

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
