Dr. Chang is warm, kind, personable, and extremely competent. He’s one of my favorite doctors. My only complaint is that he’s not big on follow-up.

I'm shocked at these reviews when I'd pretty much drive across country to see this man. He was the first and ONLY intelligent sign of relief when I injured myself years ago. He later did my surgery, and gave me almost 2 years relatively pain free relief! I find him kind and caring, and if you keep your expectations reasonable when seeking pain relief care, you will better appreciate what relief you do get! I had none of the issues I see below.

Referred by another Dr. Expected a call from his office. Upon inquiry, the receptionist did have the message to call me. That was the beginning of an awful experience. Dr Chang was aloof, no eye contact, did not really listen, and was offhand in his advise. He was border-line rude. I came to this doctor in a great deal of pain. I got a shot. There was no intention of follow-up. He could not have shown more disinterest. He prescribed pain medication. It was never called in. I called his receptionist five times asking to please call the pharmacy w my prescription. Each time I was transferred to voice mail. CVS could never get through to get the prescription. I would never recommend this person as anyone’s doctor.

If you want to be treated with respect, this IS NOT the doctor to see. He has zero empathy and will make you feel like you are wasting his time. Find a doctor that cares and your treatments will be more successful.

I moved here from the East Coast have 6 herniated discs and more bulging but I "didnt need my pain meds,TENS unit,cervical collar,chiropractic intervention" all the things that keep me mobile. Thoughts I was "Fine and discharged me. Staff officer manger was rude and dismissive as well. I have been on my meds for 11 years and alll of a sudden "theres nothing wrong" w me???

Worst bedside manner. He does not care about helping you or alleviating your pain. He just wants to make money off of you by convincing you to get some minimally invasive surgery.

Non compassionate, and was not helpful ! Both of the two times I saw him for my chronic pain . unfortunately I do not recommend such a dr. As Dr.Gary Chang due to his lack of care he gives .

Dr Chang is a warm, kind doctor. He listen to what you are saying and comes up with solutions.His Office staff is very efficient. making appointments is tricky because he is booked so far in advance. Once in the office, the last several visits I have waited one hour or more.
