Jeffrey Carter's Online Review Report Card

Hi, I was speechless to know that an office staff is in charge of deciding whether the Dr can help someone who is in extreme pain and is looking for professional help from Dr Carter. I never felt less than second class, to have someone lie to me soo much about how the Dr could not help me and the Dr didn't even know I exist. The Dr should have someone who has experienced pain making does decisions..

Extremely inattentive, and genuinely just not knowledgeable in his field. I've never heard a doctor say "I don't know" as much as him. There are good doctors who genuinely care about their patients and are interested in helping them heal - and then there are doctor's like Carter who runs his practice like a money mill. If you likely don't need surgery he will dismiss you and your pain while teetering in and out of the doorway for the whole 5 minutes he'll graciously spend with you.Come to find out he's known around the block of medical professionals for his lack of care for patients and blatant hunger for money. Also the type who refuses to wear a mask even when requested to do so by a patient. Stay far away, and read reviews of other doctors. Hoping this review will encourage others in pain and going through a tough time to look into different providers who will take the time to care about the patient and their recovery, not just the size of the pay check they'll receive.

Received excellent service from the staff and doctor. Quick waiting times and detailed assistance from Dr. Carter is what separates this doctors office from good to great! Highly recommend all those considering! Thank you to all the medical staff involved!

Dr. Carter is a kind, compassionate and skilled surgeon. I could not be happier with how he treated me in his office and at the surgery. I highly recommend him as an orthopedic surgeon.

I have been going to Dr Carter for over 20 years and he has preformed several surgeries to repair or replace joints that I seem to have done my best to destroy. He and his staff are amazing. I am always treated with respect, he always tells me my options and explains the pros and cons. The surgeries have been 100% successful, I am pain free, I take no medication and I am able to remain active, I enjoy hiking, dancing and horseback riding regularly. He's given me my life back.

Went into routine elective surgery with this guy in 2013 a healthy, athletic male, left surgery incapacitated. Told I had a strong malpractice suit, I have had 27 doctors since, and we're still searching what he did. His experience in malpractice judgments leaves him fearless of the consequences as he doesn't pay his judgments anyway. in short, he's dangerous.

I was a patient of another Orthopedic practice in the area but after many attempts in trying to schedule an appt and failing. I did my research on physician in the area and loved Dr. Carter's reviews, I called and to my surprise a LIVE person answered and so professionally. I was able to get an appt and the staff and Dr. Carter was pleasant and informative. I recommend this office looking for an Orthopedic surgeon.

Pretty Bad..........

I've been a practicing Physical Therapist on the Monterey Peninsula for 27 years. I have  therefore worked with every orthopedic physician and their respective patients during that time span. I can unequivocally state that Dr. Jeff Carter is the finest orthopedic physician in our area. While the medical system has become increasingly complex I have witnessed Dr. Carter consistently meet the patient's needs while navigating insurance limitations and extensive documentation requirements. Dr. Carter remains one of the few solo practitioners and does not utilize a physician assistant to assess or follow up with his patients; from an orthopedic perspective I believe this is a very significant distinction.  His office is always personable and he maintains excellent communication with the physical therapists who work with his patients.I unhesitatingly recommend seeking out consultation and care with Dr. Carter for your orthopedic issues.
