Dr. Jones performed Cataract surgery on both of my eyes. He is friendly , caring, and informative. The procedure was quick and he told me what he was doing as he was doing it. The pre surgery and post surgery appointments were just as comfortable. The staff is very professional!

Waited 25 min to see Dr Jones . Dr. Jones Never introduced himself ( was the first time for spouse to see him ) , eyes were dilated to check on an eye issue and was not offered eye protection upon leaving . Never asked when the last formal eye exam was, yet was told to come back in a year . Not impressed at all.

Many thanks to Dr. Matt Jones and his superb support staff at Ryan Ranch Vantage as well as at the Surgery Center. Dr. Jones is on time for appts., clear with his instructions, and an outstanding surgeon. I recognize that my pterygium surgery was a success due to his abilities and care. The staff at Ryan Ranch Vantage are a cut above also---they are efficient, pleasant, and personable towards their patients. Great Job Dr. Jones !!!

I used to live in Carmel. When I was researching cataract lenses and surgeons I saw 4 different Ophthalmologists. Only Dr. Jones diagnosed pseudoexfoliation and successfully performed cataract surgery.Since that time he has monitored my vision and prescribed drops to prevent glaucoma. In addition to his expertise, he is a very personable doctor.Although I have moved to the East Bay, I continue to drive back to Monterey to see the only ophthalmologist I trust.One other in Santa Clara whom I located in a search confirmed the diagnosis but I cannot locate him now. I like and trust Dr. Jones enough to make the long drive. He is at the Vantage Eye Center and another doctor, Bernardo, whom I saw was also very good. I have also referred a friend to them, who had shingles near his eye and the clinic worked with him to clear the problem.

As a woman, I felt uncomfortable and threatened by Jones's flirty and inappropriate nature. Would never recommend this physician, ever.

Dreadful experience. Creepy physician. More interested in my personal and married life, than diagnosing eye issue. Has dead eyes behind the smile. My advice to women is to avoid.

I had scheduled an appointment for an exam. I was taken to the back by an assistant and after the general questions I was told that my eyes need to be dilated which I refused since I had no driver (it was late afternoon and I didn't want to drive half an hour home in traffic and not being able to see properly). I told the assistant that I just want a general exam since nobody had told me when I scheduled my appointment that my eyes needed to be dilated (I would have asked somebody to drive). She said that I probably would have to pay for this out of pocket (which never happened to me before) or I need to reschedule my appointment. I'm from out of town and it's a 26 miles drive. Instead of giving my the option to see the doctor for a general visit and then dilate my eyes on my next visit, she told me that I can't see the Dr. Jones and I need to reschedule. I'm very sorry, but I walked out and did not reschedule my appointment. Dr. Jones is a great doctor, but this person was simply snotty and unprofessional and I don't have time and patience to deal with such kind of people.

Had cataract surgery this year Dr Jones is the best Had great results I wore trifocals before and now glasses only to drive if my eyes are tired I am so excited Before the surgery I had to wear glasses the minute I got up in the morning until I went to bed Now I can read, get on my computer and watch tv without bothering with glasses What is amazing is that everything is so bright now and before it was very dark!! Dr Jones rolled back the clock at least 20 years
