Montage Medical Group - Obstetrics & Gynecology's Online Review Report Card

I found them unprofessional, unresponsive, inconsiderate and not respectful. Telephone calls are not returned. Requests are ignored. I wish I had somewhere else to go but it seems this corporation (of luxury hotels/resorts) has totally taken over in this town.

There is a particular employee here (receptionist) that is passive aggressive. Aside from her rudeness, I have overheard this young girl and another receptionist gossiping about a client whom one of them had just talked to over the phone. It's just unprofessional and makes this office look bad. On the other hand, the nurses are extremely kind and welcoming, and so is the doctor.

The therapists are respectful and curious. The place is clean. The front desk is also very accommodating.

Best kept secret ! Clean safe professional and easy. I was so impressed with not having a crazy long wait. Would recommend

I have just moved to Monterey County, this was my first choice for obgyn because of location & insurance purposes. I've been under Dr. Nina Amelio-Simulcik's care & I have to say she is the absolute BEST obgyn I've had. I've moved around a lot thus far and I've had a handful of doctors. But no one has been as kind, caring, & informative as Dr. Simulcik. I can tell and feel she genuinely cares about her patients. I love coming into the office knowing that I'll be cared for. As for the office staff, they are kind and timely. They answer the phone everytime I call & always call back when needed. As long as I reside in Monterey County, I will always recommend Montage OBGYN to woman.

For all the money this place has and charges, you would think you could get better and fast care. They are only offering appointments for "new" patients 4 months in advance. If you need care before that, they tell you to go to the ER. The medical system is BROKEN and this hospital is part of the problem. The ER is used as a catch all for patients, people off the streets with no health insurance, mental patients, etc. All any half way decent doctor can do for you is "stabilize" you. BTW i have been to their ER. Was there for about 4 hours and got an IV of fluids and a shot of Tordol (anti inflammation med) and the bill was OVER $13,000!!! Where was 13k? The IV must have cost 7 grand on its own. I have good insurance so they must charge extra charges just to get more $$$$$?!?!? Stabilize you so that you can wait 4 months to get a basic intro doctors appointment?? It is "interesting" to me that I can get an expensive colonoscopy in less than 2 weeks but they expect me to wait 4 months to even TALK about getting care for a cyst they caused by poor practices with their expensive colonoscopy. I should have live up to my threat that I would never go back. What a waste of time!!

While I appreciate everything this office does, they are not really good with follow through. I waited a month for important test results and called them once a week while they continued saying the doctor hasn't signed off on them yet. Now I need a follow up ultrasound appointment and every time I call the medical assistant is not in the office, I've been trying for 2 weeks just to get in touch with someone to be able to schedule it when they were supposed to be the ones to call me.

Dr.Simulick is one of the best OBGYNS I've ever seen. She takes time listening to my needs, she answers all my questions or concerns about my painful menstural cycles and didn't prescribe me birth control pills like the gynecologist I saw in the Bay Area well she actually did the depo shot as birth control but that didn't help. However when I saw Dr.Simulick she prescribe birth control pills she just told me to take it step by step and see how the naproxen medication works and if that doesn't work then we can look at birth control or other options for my painful menstural cycles. So I'm happy that my primary doctor referred me to the best clinic and that the OBGYN I saw has been nothing but helpful to me and been taking good care of me and my needs. Keep up the good work and thanks to Dr.Simulick for being so caring about patients you deserve 5 stars.
