List of Shawn Shahriar Aghili Md's Reviews
Dr. Aghili only listens to you if the case is interesting. If it doesn’t interest him it’s less then a 5 min appointment. Turns out I have a rare condition called tracheobronchomalacia, dr aghili didn’t bother looking up the significant testing I had with Sutter and UCSF, the dynamic CT, the bronchs, heck he even did a bronch but then denied it. in the end he put in my chart in Layman’s terms that it was all in my head and I have SEVERE anxiety, he also somehow thought I convinced a doctor at UC Davis to put in a trach. No I did not actually one of the doctors he refers people to for different things with Sutter put it in. But he refused to look at or even listen to me. Once again he thinks it’s in my head. He has a god complex. March 31 I flew from California to Boston to have major surgery to fix my lungs called tracheobronchoplasty...to fix the( everything in my head) the pulmonary team and thoracic team worked together and remodeled my entire airways.
Dr Aghili does not address the patient’s concerns. I am a sleep apnea patient and I have problems with my machine (only he can write an order to correct the problems). One problem is so severe that I am unable to wear the mask correctly so jeez it’s not working. I try to bring this up at every appointment only to have him walk out of the room in the middle of my asking for his help. This behavior baffles me. He just tells me to use my machine and walks out. I want a doctor who is collaborative and empowers the patient to work with the medical team for positive outcomes. This will lead to better health. Guess I’ll be shopping for more than Christmas gifts this year!
i have seen dr aghilli for 12 years +. he is very knowledgeable, i trust him so much. he has a very good personality. i would highly recommend him to family and friends who have pulmonary issues.
A circus, a performance, little to no interaction with me. Errors in prescriptions, orders, appointments. Chaotic office at times.
In the last year I have been able to see Dr. Aghili only 2 times. He has been too busy. He spent no time talking with me about my condition and treatment during those two visits. He's too busy talking at me. There is no conversation, no treatment, no care and no caring. It is all about him. I have wasted a year.
He has horrible staff, they seem to have trouble completing easy tasks that are required by insurance companies. I’m talking months, they either don’t care or are totally incompetent.
Dr. Aghili worked with me during my stay in the hospital. I have a very complicated condition and he was very knowledgeable and thorough. He also had great bedside manner. I would highly recommend him
Did not answer my first question. changed subjuct and left room.
It took me a month to get in. They sent the paperwork in the mail with a note stapled to it that requested I arrived a half-hour early, so I did. Got there, they did not need anything additional, so I waited that half-hour plus another 45 min for a total of 1 hour 15 min. I would not suggest them, they do not respect their patients.
I found out on my first appointment with Dr. Aghili that he was the right man to help me. This doctor has all the verchews that I was looking for. He was very polite, and had great bedside manner. With this doctor I think he will find something to help me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
