What a well oiled professional operation, truly shows what attention to detail produces from Dr. Pillar and all her staff. Great job!

Continued... I went to a place in mission vly and I don't think the girl working there knew what she was doing. She kept messing with the machine and having me adjust back and forth. Finally she printed something out and they said I have cataracts and I'm not a candidate for lasik. Well I'd been to four different places before the pandemic and all of them said I was a great candidate and that I wouldn't get the flap kind, some new machine would just laser right on my eye. They also had a problem with my age 55 yrs young and that seemed strange to me because that's when allot of us start needing. glasses. Right?! So I thought ok let's go to La jolla and see if the higher price places make a difference. So I went to one with that exact name. They told me I have bad dry eye and I have to get two different kinds of drops and do a month long regimen to get my eyes in order. So I went to the store and bought the drops and started doing what she told me to. Mind you this place was horrible to park and the actual office and where you have to park was a day hike away from each other. Then no validation for parking at 4 bucks per half hour. She seemed nice but on her walls all I saw was general medicine degrees. I didn't see anything about eyes. So two weeks into my drops I get a phone call from her nurse/helper and she said I'm probably not a good candidate. Here we go again. So I go to one north of miramar off the 8 in that industrial valley area up there and I won't even get into that one. Didn't like anything about it. Finally IThought I'd better go see a cornea specialist. I found One to One just off the 5 and balboa. And I remembered I had been at this complex years before getting massage. So I thought ok go there and see if I'm full of cataracts and dry eye and whatever is next. The parking was great. The staff were nice and very attentive. I went in and met Dr pillar and I thought wow. She's younger than the others. Had more schooling than the others. She did more test in less time that all the others. Told me I have no sign at all of cataracts. Slight dry eye but nothing that will hinder getting lasik. She did notice something that she didn't have the machine to check, so she sent me a little way up the fwy to the place where I actually had the procedure and they ok'd. me for surgery. Two weeks later I had it done to both eyes on the 17 th. It's just two days later and I'm blown away how good my vision is. I haven't seen this good since my 20's I was able to drive myself to my one day check up. Then I'll have a one week check up and a one month . I should have done this long ago. Dr. Pillar is great. Super knowledgeable, Harvard, Yale,... if you want someone that will tell you like it is , she's the one you want. Since going here all my questions have finally been answered and I can finally see!

Wonderful experience at the Balboa location. The entire staff is so accommodating and professional. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Highly recommend!!

I have never written a review for a doctor before, but Dr. Pillar is truly incredible. She really cares about her patients and it shows. I'm so lucky I found her. She was able to accommodate me last minute and put me at ease immediately and throughout the whole appointment. Highly recommended!

Dr. Pillar went above and beyond to care for my husband. She's extremely Professional, personable and takes her time to make sure her patients understand everything and feel comfortable with her care. She put us at ease when he was having a procedure done for his cornea and was so accommodating. I can't say enough accolades about her care.

I was referred to this practice by my Opthalmologist because of their expertise and reputation in the treatment of cornea disease! To say that the care, treatment and results I received were the best would be a gross understatement! Dr. Pillar is the BEST OF THE BEST and I will always be grateful for the referral and subsequent care, treatment and outcome that exceeded my expectations! Thanks, again, to her and her staff!

I was referred to Dr Pillar earlier this year. I must say that I was immediately taken by her bedside manner. Dr Pillar has always made me feel comfortable even during procedures. I have also had the pleasure of meeting her staff, Samantha is always kind and intuitive, Jamie assisted with scheduling my surgery and was able to resolve all of my concerns. Katie is normally who I have the pleasure of speaking with when I call the office, she handles all my concerns and questions right away.

Dr Pillar and her staff are wonderful. Dr Pillar's bedside manner is the upmost and her staff are very knowledgeable.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Pillar today. She is amazing, smart and took her time answering my questions. Her helper (samantha i think) was very sweet and knowledgeable i was very apprehensive but her nice personality and knowledge helped me to feel completely relaxed!! This is the best office !!!!

Wonderful front desk help! (Once all those people as you walk in were willing to tell me where to get help.) Outstanding technician! (I was assisted by Lisa.) And Dr. Pillar a caring, gentle, knowledgeable physician. I do not easily put my “eyesight” in someone’s hands. I feel safe with Dr. Pillar.
