I suffered migraines due to neck pain for 2 years and lived on a bucket of prescription pills just to get through each night because I couldn’t lay my head down to sleep. The day of my surgery the pain is completely gone and recovery is a breeze compared to the pain before.

An horrific crash in my Jeep lead to a burst fracture of my L1 perturbing 7mm into my spinal column. I was brought to Riverside University Hospital and introduced to Dr Duong and his team. In no time at all, they came up with a plan and got me into surgery a couple of days later, performed a lengthy surgery, fusing my C11, C12, L1, L2 and L3. Initially I thought it would take at least a year to recover. The team were amazing, they answered all my questions and concerns about the surgery and the rest of the hospital staff were great too. Now, just three months later, I am able to take off my brace and get back to normal life. The surgery was a great success and this team, lead by Dr. Duong, performed a miracle in my eyes! 100% recovery, 100% happy and 110% recommend this team and hospital staff.

THE BEST experience with a surgeon that I have ever had! And I have seen many. Dr Duong, was incredibly attentive, informative, and compassionate when it came to the care I received from him. He over explained everything so that I could understand what was going on with my body. He answered every one of my questions without making me feel like I was dumb for asking like I have experienced with other surgeons. It’s no surprise that my after care notes are detailed as well. I really appreciate this. I’ve noticed other Dr’s cut and paste information and they don’t include what we’ve discussed. I highly recommend Dr Duong. I really hope I see him again with my follow up appointments. I would also like to say that I can tell that this is his gift and he chose the right profession. Dr Duong, please, please, please don’t change the way you engage with your patients! My visit with you Friday left me so encouraged to keep pressing because there are Dr’s who still care. Thank You!!
