List of Allen Shah's Reviews
This doctor is horrible. He has absolutely no bed-side manners nor does he care about your pain. He provides no care and has talks down to you. This guy does the bare minimum which makes me want a refund of my office visit since I can get the same result from doing a Google search. What a scam!
You definitely want to avoid Dr. Shah at any cost. Absolutely not interested in patients recovery while behaving in an unacceptable way.
Dr. Shah is a very sarcastic, uncaring doctor. I have issues with headaches and it was caused by neck pains. I found him to be unprofessional and unhelpful, I eventually said forget it I will deal with the pain on my own. Never went back to see him. His comment to me was “he did not have a magic blue pill to make it all go away”. I had just gone through the test for cancer and was waiting for results. My pharmacy sent a refill to him and he sent a message back saying I refused to come in for a visit, when he never set any visit up. I sent a message to his office asking him to cancel all prescriptions because I did not want to work with him anymore.
I saw Dr. Shah for back pain I was experiencing. When the Dr. Shah's office insisted I come in for separate appts (pushed by the MA via phone call) - my pain level and symptom-related questions were not supported or taken seriously. His exams were not thorough whatsoever and I felt bullied discussing my concerns and his recommendations. The last visit was a complete waste of time and money as he had NOTHING to say or do and reiterated exactly what his MA had said over the phone, after he insisting that I come into his office. Do not see this provider. He does not show good care, intentions, or professionalism when it comes to physical medicine and patient care - this is unsafe and highly concerning. He seemed sexist and ageist in my experience. I'm seeing very similar comments and reviews on various sites and wish I had researched Dr. Shah before scheduling with him.

Dr. Shah is a great guy and has helped me with severe low back problems through the years. He is always friendly and answers any questions or concerns I may have. In my mind he has saved me from more back surgeries thus far. Thanks Doctor Shah
Very bad experience with this guy. For my back problem, he is only interested in giving a shot, not care what you say or provide professional opinion. Do not waste your time and money with him.
Dr. Shah is a wonderful cardiologist. When I first went to him, I had just had a heart attack out of town. He was recommended by a friend. I was a nervous wreck (my words). He spent a considerable amount of time answering my questions, reassuring me, working my up and planning my care. He always sits with me a reviews everything about my care at each visit. He is very pleasant. One of the things I like most about him is that he always reviews my meds, vaccinations and other important MD appointments and reports (e.g., GI, GYN, mammograms etc.) with me and calls every time I have blood drawn to give me the results. He is very thorough and I am fortunate to have him as my physician. I highly recommend him for cardiac problems.
I saw Dr. Shah regarding sciatica that I developed out of no where. After trying numerous interventions, I finally decided to see a physiatrist for an epidural to try and alleviate the pain. Dr. Shaw was an excellent choice. He was very clear about several choices I had regarding dealing with my severe, acute pain. In the end, he administered two rounds of epidurals which did not give me much, if any, relief. Dr. Shah was very responsive regarding email as I was going through this process. In the end, we both agreed that a surgical consult was the next step. I appreciated his support and direction. He has a very pleasant manner and was always very quick to respond to me. I highly recommend him.
Got appointment with Shah as referral by our GP. Checked Yelp, was worried, contacted GP again. Turns out GP's wife goes to him. Ok, let's give him a try. He was fine. Spent plenty of time with us, detailed exam, reviewed MRI, good explanation of options and a plan to proceed. Appears to be very competent . All good.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
