List of Charlyne Julao, Do's Reviews
Went in for an annual physical earlier this year. Their office billed it as a “new patient office visit” and charged me $400 (after insurance). An annual exam is covered by my insurance but their office refuses to bill the correct code even after speaking with their billing department. They said they would do a “billing review” but they just sent me the exact same bill a month later with no explanation.
A fantastic primary doctor, who listens, empathizes and responds in a timely manner.
I’ve never had a doctor so focused on billing for every little thing. After a blood draw she insisted I needed, I was required to schedule a follow-up appointment just to hear the results—which turned out to be completely normal. The follow up appointment lasted less than five minutes and felt entirely unnecessary. Other primary care doctors I’ve seen have always shared test results through the patient portal and followed up as needed—without forcing an extra visit and extra co-pay in the process. I also asked for a simple doctor’s note for work. It took a week to receive, and then I was charged $118 for it. That felt extremely unreasonable given the simplicity of the request and lack of warning that fulfilling the request would cost me any money. Overall, my experience has been frustrating and left me feeling like more of a billing opportunity than a patient. I don’t recommend this doctor.
She just keeps billing me for mychart messages.
Not a real pcp. Not dependable nor reliable. You can forget about even thinking to contact her for an urgent visit/call/. The ER/urgent care kept saying to me that they are not my doctors and I would have to see my pcp. But... when I went to juliar office.... They said to me "you have hmo, the earliest we can see you is in 3 weeks" ... I guess they only help patients in a timely manner who have a ppo plan. I fired her and the doctor after her. I changed to different hospital alltogether.
Dr. Julao is the best PCP I have ever had. She is on top of everything. I referred my husband to her as well and he is so happy with the care he is receiving as well.
Caring, Helpful & Thorough I'm nearing 80 with unusual and challenging conditions from childhood, for which she made very apt referrals. She methodically covered what was needed and set a clear direction for the future. I feel fortunate to have her as my PCP.
Colin D The doctor has never physically touched me. She talks at a distance. She does listen and answer questions, but diagnosis without actually touching me is questionable. I saw her for musculo-skeletal issues, so a physical exam was appropriate and expected.
Very professional and compassionate. Dr. Julao has a firm grasp on medications and their side effects, as well as knowledge about diet and lifestyle factors that can impact blood pressure. She took the time to address all my questions and concerns. Also, her practice is located in a clean and modern office. I am glad I can now say she is my PCP.
She's on top of everything! Her staff return my calls right away, and they're so wonderful. Highly recommend

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
