List of Cynthia Kapphahn's Reviews
Dr. Kapphahn truly cares about her patients. She goes above and beyond what is asked of her– such as responding to emails on holidays, late at night, etc.– and while I initially interpreted her demeanor as cold and off-putting, after a year of working with her, I have found her to be possibly the most personably, genuine, and loving medical professionals in the field. She loves her job, she loves her patients, and that is abundantly clear once you've worked with her for some time. She's seen a lot in regards to eating disorders, so if anything, her so-called "cold demeanor" is simply a display of caution and concern– she doesn't want to be your best friend. She simply wants to save your life.
Keeps patients for way to long and is a very cold person
Not helpful. I know kids often resist seeing doctors if they do not want treatment, but I felt just as ill at ease after meeting with her, and trying to get my child help.g
She is not at all supportive or warm. She doesn't want to be bothered with your questions, or a request for clarification, she just seems to want to put in her time and be done. Being that her specialty is supposed to be eating disorders, her ability to form a patient-staff relationship is crucial because it is often long term, with patient trust and resistance, etc. and the concern here would be that your child would be more resistant when her doctor is cold or just uncaring.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
