List of Edmund Tai's Reviews
Just got a bill for a doctor I've never seen in my life. I don't even go to PAMF anymore. BUT, got old insurance just got billed by one "Edmund W. Tai, M.D."WTF is this about. Now I gotta waste an hour on the phone with PAMF, insurance company, and possibly the state board.
Dr. Tai will not return your phone calls or emails. If he's in a hurry he will not do any kind of clinical examination. He does not listen well and goes off on tangents that has nothing to do with patient's question. Made it hard to trust his judgement.
Dr. Tai is extremely cavalier and a poor communicator with his patients and their families. He does not return phone calls or emails but has his nurse be the go-between so one cannot get their questions answered directly. If he's in a hurry, he skips any kind of clinical examination. He also goes off on tangents and does not stay on the subject relating to the patient's concern.
Not good, he goes very agressive with chemo not taking into consideration a persons age and physical condition, I agree he also doesn't listen well to patients symptoms. My Dad passed away not because of cancer but because of a very agressive chemo
Dr. Tai is a friendly doctor but in treating my father, never took into consideration his age or state of physical being. Went full force with a very aggressive treatment of chemo that ended up killing him. All the while we were given a lot of hope that he would be ok but not the case. I would get a second opinion if he recommends a very aggressive form of chemo
PAMF is scamming patients; for us out of over 5 visits only one doctor was billed as Urgent Care Physician and the rest were all billed as Specialists. Only 1 Doctor is Board Certified as a Specialist according to CA Medical License verification and we didn't "see" him.If you too were billed for "seeing" Dr. Tai when you never saw him, then please call your insurance ASAP about how lab work is billed.Dr. Tai is Board Certified as an Oncologist not a Hematologist. You should file a complaint with CA Dept of Insurance consumer complaint if you are having excessive billing issues with PAMF:cdiapps.insurance.ca.gov…
Dr. Tai starts out very friendly, but he quickly stops listening to patients' symptoms, questions, and concerns once he decides on a plan of treatment. He also ignored symptoms of metastasis, e.g. fever, and marginalized problem areas that showed up in scans that also indicated metastasis even when prompted to discuss them. In summary, Dr. Tai will diagnose you, unilaterally decide on a plan of treatment, and ignore any problems that come up.
Dr. Tai has been my mom's oncologist since 2005. He is extremely friendly and more importantly, he is very knowledgeable in not only oncology but other health areas. He doesn't over diagnose, and he doesn't treat any unusual symptoms lightly either. His judgement and actions has always turned out to be accurate. We are lucky to have a trust worthy doctor like him.
In 2006 or 2007, my doctor at the time, Dr. Sood at PAMF Mt. Veiw Clinic, she wanted my to see Dr. Edmund Tai. I was very ill at the time, and no diagnosis of my illness. Dr. Tai, ordered a battery tests. I was finally diagnosis with Psoriatic Arthritis. With the help from Dr. Kuzis and Dr. Sood. Dr. Tai was very aggressive in trying to figure out was wrong with me. When I saw him, I could tell that he was very frustrated, that he could not figure out, in short order, what was wrong with me. I always left his office with " Don't worry Kevin, we will find out, what illness you have" He always made feel confident, that what ever the illness, we will be, able to help you!" I think his is, one of best Doctor's I have ever seen. He is a value asset to the PAMF Mt. Veiw Clinic.Kevin Reid
I was looking up this doctor's info only to find all this negative data on him. The reason why I was trying to find him is because I have received a bill with his name on it as the providing doctor, WRONG, I have never even met this guy although I've been a patient of PAMF for almost 20 years, my regular Doctor is Dr. Watson who is an amazing physician who always goes out of his way to keep his patients informed and not waiting more than 10 to 15 minutes at most. I'm curious now to find out how Dr. Tai will explain that he saw me when I have never met him before.................... Hummmmmmmmmmmm

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
