Edward Karpman's Online Review Report Card

This review is long overdue! I had a vasectomy reversal December of 2016. Now we have a 4 year old son. Miraculously, we are expecting another son in December. My mother joked that I have the patent on boys. Dr. Karpman, when I told you I was a plumber I'll never forget what you told me. It makes me laugh even now, that you too are a plumber but on a smaller scale. Right on brother, keep on plumbing! Our family thanks you! We will post a picture soon.

WARNING LONG POST! WORTH THE READ FOR VASECTOMY REVERSALS!!!!My husband and I have an 8yo and 7yo twins! After we decided we were Done and hubby got a vasectomy. Fast forward 5.5 years we decide we want one more. A vasectomy reversal was how and there were soooo many doctors to choose from all over the US. We read countless reviews and called so many places. Something about his info stood out and we decided to call. After speaking with Dr. Karpman On the phone there was no doubt it just "felt right" he was going to be our doc. With hundreds of doctors "qualified" we knew it would come down to trust, and our gut said HIM! Scheduling was very simple and the costs were laid out clear and no surprises. Hubby was only 5.5years out from Vasectomy so we were told the surgery would likely be simple connecting the tubes together giving us a 90something chance. However he did inform us that it is possible but unlikely that if there was an issue he may have to do a VE. He informed us it would be no additional charge but would decrease the success rates. This would only be worse case scenario. Day of surgery as I waited it took a little longer then planned only to get an update that the doc who did vasectomy cut too close and that he did have to perform the more evasive surgery and dropping our % of success. It seemed like such a blow realizing we could have spent so much $ and hubby going through a surgery possibly for nothing. But Dr. Showed me images of sperm (a good sign) he took pics for us during procedure and explained all he did to ensure best possible result. We were put at ease once again Fully trusting him! He uses a 200x microscope for this surgery and really takes his time for his patients success. After surgery follow up appointments we're simple and he put hubby on steroids to build up sperm. He continued every step of the way to give us great care and possibility of success. Some reviews called him an ass and I'd like to say he was the furthest from it. Also he has been said for him to be arrogant. There is definitely a confidence to him for sure but we learned first hand HE DESERVES EVERY BIT OF IT as he knows his s**t and is a great doctor! FINALLY!!!! As our UPDATE!!!! As of 5months post surgery I became pregnant! We are Expecting our 4th and final babe thanks to Dr. Karpman. We have 3 girls and will be welcoming a baby BOY! IF YOU ARE LIKE ME AND OVERWHELMED MY SO MANY OPTIONS FOR REVERSAL DOCTORS TRUST ME WHEN I SAY STOP HERE AND CALL HIS OFFICE. No one is guaranteed success I understand that every body is different but i whole heartedly will recommend anyone Dr. Karpman with confidence that if it's meant to happen for you he will be the one to do it! Met the good Dr. at a Mens health clinic held at the former Log Gatos hospital.I was impressed with Dr . Karpman and scheduled an appointment.I've had an enlarged prostrate years ago that was treated via microwave procedure.It lasted about 8 years before becoming enlarged again. The Dr went over the different ablation procedures and the Green Light was decided upon.Guess the procedure went well, I was unconscious for it, so I couldn't tell ya!About a week after the procedure, I experienced incontinence. If I waited a couple of minutes after getting the urge to pee, it was too late. Can't count how many times I had to pull over, while driving, to go by the side of the road. Reported this to the Dr and he provided some pills to relax my bladder. That worked pretty well. At subsequent visit, I complained that I could never truly empty my bladder and will leak urine if I coughed, sneezed of even got up from a chair. The Dr dismissed my concerned saying I had to squeeze it out. It's only gotten worse with time. Dr Karpman wasn't interested in my issues. Finally stopped seeing him as I, as others, find him full of himself and unresponsive to my problems. I remember him telling me that after the procedure, I would Love him! Talk about being full of himself! I also expressed concern about the prospect of "dry orgasms" after the ablation but he dismissed my concerns, telling me it was only a concern for porn stars! What a Dick.Would not recommend Dr. Karpman to anyone. After I cancelled my last appointment, the receptionist asked why I was canceling. I told her I was very unhappy with the result and the follow up. You would think you'd get a call from the Dr?Nope, just moved on to the next victim.

Today I had my three week post-op appointment with Dr Karpman. I am a 67 year old male and had consulted Dr Karpman for lower urinary tract issues normal to aging males. Upon evalualtion, Dr Karpman recommended the green light laser procedure, which he performed on me at El Camino Hospital, Los Gatos, on March 22nd. I couldn't be happier, both with the effectiveness of the treatment and with Dr Karpman. I found Dr Karpman to be interested, informative , and pretty much the ideal doctor. I read a negative review below and I can't believe the same person is being described that has been treating me. I completely disagree with the negative review. I suggest you go in and see for yourself. Dr Karpman is very likable. As far as results, when I drove to Mountain View on March 21, 2022, the day before my procedure, I travelled from El Dorado Hills to Mountain View. I had to stop at Lodi, Stockton and Livermore to use the restroom. Today, nearly 3 weeks post-op, I drove home non-stop from Mountain View to El Dorado Hills! Incredible. The feeling of urinary urgency has been completely eliminated. I only get up one time during the night to urinate. And per Dr Karpman today, it will just keep getting better over the next several months. I've said it all - Dr Karpman excels. Highly recommended......

I had a successful surgery on 6/18/2019 Dr. Karpman was a great advisor and Surgeon, He explained to me all details and after almost 2 years experience I can tell He is a great Doctor I'm so excited my new insurance company contracted with his office

Ed Karpman is ALWAYS at least an hour late. He is arrogant. Never spent more then 5 min with my husband for 3 years. After karpman used every insurance $ he could squeeze out of them. He then suggest surgery. He said “don’t you want your husband to go from a zero to hero?” VERBATEM. After my husbands operation he came in the waiting room. Says nothing about how my husband is and whips out his cell phone to show me what a “awesome job I did”. What the? He is rude- condescending to people and arrogant. We had 3 other drs tell us that they had patients say the same. If you want to see his wonderful (NOT) mangled looking penis with the pump not correctly put in causing us to look for a dr. to correct. Don’t let ANY UROLOGIST tell you a pump that is floating around your body but that is NOT common as they all missed that part because the think pumped up. Anyway please let me want to see the final work of Edward karpman, you won’t find them on internet.

I was referred ,by Dr Kong to see Dr Karpman, Dr kong of Mt View told me I am sure Dr Karpman will treat you with Understanding & Care,My injury to me is so sensitive to me to where I get emotional over just talking & remembering the way I was injured. This is for all men that need to see a urologist Dr Karpman is a real honest Urologist.to Dr Karpman will be one to beat in his field.

Dr Karpman knows what he is doing! My Vaso Vasectomy went great. And we have a baby now!Costs were upfront and clear with no changes. Follow up visits were a breeze. Again thank you Dr Karpman for helping us grow our family.

I had Advanced prostate cancer with a PSA count of 27 & had Robotic prostatectomy surgery, including nerve sparing in beginning of 2017. Dr got most cancer but a tiny bit had left the Prostate. After 4 months of radiation my PSA count almost zero. Eligard shots every year & half keeping PSA count to zero. But the penile nerves got fried from the radiation. Unable to get an erection after 3 years. Penile injections hurt so bad. Horrible. Pumps didn't work well. Urologist suggested a Penile Implant several times. I was reluctant because it was final. I hoped the the nerves would come back. After 3 years nope. My Urologist recommended Dr Karpman, said hes the best. Well he was RIGHT. Very little pain. 3 weeks after surgery ready to go.. amazing. And wow what a size improvement. The wife is VERY happy. It's so easy to pump. Ready any time. Feels exactly like it used to. Except larger. Dr Karpman is not only the best Implant surgeon around he's one of the most compassionate doctors I've ever seen and a super nice guy. You may have to wait awhile to see him because he takes as much time as you need. My only regret is I didn't get this done years ago. I can't recommend Dr Karpman enough. If anyones on the fence whether to get a Penile Implant don't hesitate. Go to Dr Karpman.

Dr Karpman is an excellent Urologist. I suffered from ED for about 15 years, and used supplements and viagra medication. However, eventually this did not work anymore. I learned about penile implants, and found Dr Karpman, who does these on a regular basis. Everything went according to plan, as far as the operation is concerned, and the implant works fantastic. I have no regrets and highly recommend the procedure. Steel hard erections and no more frustrations! RG Monterey County.
