List of El Camino Health Mountain View Hospital Emergency Room's Reviews
Horrible experience. Came in with my finger broken and left with my finger feeling worse. Terrible employees and doctors who don’t know how to diagnose plus bad radiologists and x-rays that were inconclusive even though it was obviously broken. Terrible experience, way overpriced for the terrible service and will probably self treat next time as I would probably be a better doctor.
10:00 checked in. 15 minutes: called into triage area for initial screening. Ultrasound was ordered and the nurse explained to me how long the process would take so I was prepared. 45 minutes mark: in US room. 60 minutes: out. Another 75 minutes: got put into a curtained room and lie on the bed -- that made me worried but it turned out to be more or less an SOP. I did not know that and get to listen to the dramas going on outside of the curtain while pondering how fragile human life is. Med dispensed, consultation given and I was discharged. Here are the positives: 1) Good facility and efficient process. 2) Very (I meant it) friendly/helpful staff. 3) The facility is using a software system from IBM and I am impressed by the degree of integration (including SMS) and information provided. Negative: It is not that easy to get to the facility through Grant rd and the parking is crowded. I made the HUGE mistake of trying to exit the lot in the wrong direction (i.e. wrong way driving). Not El Camino's fault, though. Some people simply parked on the driveway close to the building entrance.
My grandmother was admitted to the ER today, and I went to get a visitors pass in the emergency room department and the security was extremely rude for no apparent reason. He was a Indian guy and I started asking him for a pen and he just gave me attitude for no reason and I went back to get one for my mom and he started giving me attitude again when I was telling him the name he didn’t even listen to me he was just looking somewhere else and asked me again and gave me attitude. I don’t understand why people go to work if they’re gonna be giving attitude to the patients or patients family members.
My experience was very positive, I was in ER around midnight. I didn’t wait at all till I can see the doctors and staffs right away. And they were great.
They killed my mom’s with mistaken medication! She was good when I take her there, they gave her Morphine even I asked the nurse stop my mom’s is sensitive of it but she said Doctor ordered it’s very low dosage ! I said I’m here hours but I don’t see any doctor who touch my mom’s! I said what about her hearth medications , they nurse said we don’t have any in list ! I called mom’s rehab nurse and gave my cellphone to this nurse , they exchange data but she didnot gave her blood thinner. Mom’s sleep near 50 hours! Her hearth goes 190! She got a bad stroke and they took her to ccu but from that time she stopped eating . Too much pressure for me, after 2 months she has passed away. I was in bad crying and high depression over a year. If someone can sue this hospital contact me. This is shameful to see this kind of low knowledge and non responsible things here specially for me who moved from oversea.
Had a great service at the ER. There was a significant wait time and a lot of patients so that’s understandable. But all the staffs and doctors were very helpful and I got the best care I could ask for. I got a call from a nurse the next day for a follow up and she helped me a lot to figure out the insurance issues I was having with the county. Definitely recommend this place if you really need care.
worse experience ever, don’t come here if you actually want help. i was in here for 7 hours because the front desk lady didn’t know how to communicate with the doctors. i had to take a huge pill, get a heart test and iv’s because they thought something was wrong with me when i straight forward told them i had anxiety. doctors here are rude the only sweet person was the security guard that actually tried to help and calm me down. i will never come back here again, all i had to go through just to get a wrap and crutches for a fractured foot and sent home. they tried to tell me a boot was too big yet when i went to my doctors they gave me a boot. terrible customer service.
I was, unfortunately, in the emergency room yesterday and I found the staff from the check-in nurses to all the test technicians and the medical staff to be outstanding. They were compassionate, helpful, courteous, sometimes a little funny, and did everything they could to make my situation better and comfortable. Chris Saso got all the tests needed and added more based on my medical history on the spot. He is five star and same goes for the staff working with him. I am so very grateful. One negative thing - the person at the cafeteria in the main building that the emergency room staff directed my wife to go get a sandwich (she was there with me for eight hours) rudely shooed her out for not being an employee, although she was wearing the hospital badge. What kind of people do that? Retrain or terminate - that's what I say.
Woooow horrible horrible ER don’t go there go somewhere else they put us in room 5 hours nurse was rude i told her we left children at home we came here 6pm and now is 1am she said I don’t care and she left this was on porpoise every one else was coming and going so quick
I cannot express my gratitude to the amazing RNs and other staff that cared for my daughter after having a seizure. Everyone was so great, kind and professional. They made us aware of the wait, as we came in very early in the morning (2am) and made sure we were comfortable. They checked in with me and cared for my daughter with such kindness, I truly cannot thank you all enough.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
