List of El Camino Health - Mountain View Hospital's Reviews
Worst hospital in the world. Very unprofessional, and will victim shame you. I've never had such a horrible experience with staff with no empathy, employees making comments outside about your situation due to lack of confidentiality, lack of tests onsite & overall care was unacceptable. If you truly care about your health, and rather not get VICTIM SHAMED and abused BY THE STAFF, please stay away!
Came into the ER on a Sunday evening and waited less than 30 minutes to be seen. The entire staff was friendly, caring, and most importantly, decisive, on my treatment plan. The PA and nurses were very communicative and kept me in the loop as to what they were seeing / how they wanted to proceed. Long story short, I ended up getting transferred to an Operating Room in the general surgery area where the GI doctor, anesthesiologist, and nurses were also very kind. No one wants to spend time in the hospital, but El Camino Health is one of the better hospital experiences I've had. Thank you El Camino staff!
Took a family member there for Surgery and I caught Covid in there….Cafeteria was filthy. This place really went downhill…..
Waiting times are too long.
awesome care from staff.
This review is for the radiology/imaging department at El Camino Health Mountain View. Our GYN doctor requested HSG saying that the test can be taken within 10 days of period. But the person at Radiology said that the doctor is wrong and it only be taken at first day of period. Someone believe that they know more than the doctor
Bay Area/Silicon Valley Residents STAY AWAY from this hospital, it it a total financial trap! Just look among these reviews for "CT scan" and you will see enough of evidence of the price gouging they practice in this place. Not to mention the not exactly stellar care they provide for such extortions.Through my insurer I've just been notified they were sent a $22,000+ bill for a few hours in their ER, which I had the double misfortune to visit about a week ago.$16,000 were for a hurried CT scan and $3,800 for waiting in the corridor of their ER with other patients, with no, zero, none form of comfort, rather having to listen to nurses making fun of patients, of how so stupid they are!!!Mind you the price they charge for the scan is multiples of what you find at other hospitals in the area and in the whole of California, and the guy who did it for me forgot some important information (drinking plenty after the scan to get rid of the contrast substance they used) which led to unnecessary pains, cramps the following day likely due to a small kidney stone...They should be sued and pay me, NOT the other way around!!!I will definitely look into my options against this terrible hospital. Finally, as further evidence of the overbilling/price gouging going on at this "hospital", check out these other reviews:goo.gl/maps/63zwTuZc4GtF…goo.gl/maps/CazUGYrT8ch7…goo.gl/maps/boRyZJA6NDSw…yelp.com/biz/el-camino-h…
My sister was admitted thru the ER on 1/21 and subsequently during the night to watch over her, her heart arrested and the staff managed to keep her alive. We were all worried about the timeframe she was out and if it affected her neurological state. Within a three days or so, she was much better and was moved to next level down care. Which was great news. However, she experienced another heart stoppage and they had to intubate her. When we got there, it was clear that she was ready to rest. The staff helped us with the hard decision to let her go. The entire CCU medical staff was so responsive and empathetic. I am so surprised with the negative reviews as our experience at El Camino Hospital was outstanding. While our oldest sister passed, the entire staff was amazing. Huge thanks from our family to the doctors and RN staff.
BILLING NIGHTMARE. never thought I'd write a Yelp review for a hospital but here it goes. After our care, we kept receiving bills even though our own insurance statements showed full coverage. This is where all the problems started. There were multiple calls to their billing department back and forth for clarification, meanwhile the bills kept coming. I ultimately had to reach out to my insurance company and asked them to call El Camino to clear things up. Shame on you guys! What a joke of a hospital. All this was so unnecessary and a complete billing nightmare. You've been warned!
I had surgery at the El Camino Hospital in Mountain View in the morning. I was released several hours later after the surgery at night. That night after being released, I had a great deal of non-stop discomfort and pain. I called the surgeon (Dr. Klaus See-Tho) many times for two days. He neither called me post-surgery nor returned any of my calls for two days. Finally, I was admitted to the Stanford Emergency room on the third day. I was examined and kept under observation. They placed a catheter in me that helped me relieve the pain and discomfort. All this unfortunate long enduring pain and discomfort could have been prevented or at least treated much earlier if the doctor and the hospital had done a more complete job of patient care. I am unhappy about how I was treated.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
