Really bad experience at check-in. The front desk person, Susan, checked me in as someone else. This is after I had given her my name, appointment time, Driver's License, and health card. When I said I wasn't there for a bone density screen she insisted I was. After some back forth I finally asked, "Who do you think I am?" Susan said the name of someone else. (the 8:45 patient who didn't show) I stared in misbelief. "Didn't you look at my DL or health card?" I said. "No," she said. Then added "you're checked in now." No apology. No admission of mistake. When I mentioned this to the x-ray tech. She said, "What's your birth date?" OMG. How can anyone trust the mammography results coming from this Faulty Tower that accepts mediocrity as a matter of course?

Same experience as Slava, charge for $1500 is ridiculous. And they didn’t provide me the image. Pretty bad and unprofessional service! I went to another hospital for the same ultrasound check today. They only charge me $100 and provides images online!

I went to Valley Radiology for my annual mammogram for years, but this year could not get anyone on the phone - just hold music - so I booked an appointment here. The mammogram had distinctly painful moments which I never experienced with my last radiologist. One time the pain wasn't even in my breast, it was my face! The radiologist pressed the side of my face so hard into the machine it really hurt. I was told I would not get a phone call regarding the results unless there was a problem. I got a dreaded voicemail the next day asking me to call. After some conversation I was told that everything was normal but that I have dense breasts and that they wanted to do further imaging. The imaging center had a copy of my last mammogram, so they knew I had dense breasts (40% of women do). Any conversation about this could and should have taken place before the mammogram. I have never had a radiology company call me about this. This conversation has always been left for the patient's doctor to initiate. In addition, the woman who called was basically a call center type person - not a medical professional. Only DOCTORS are supposed to give patients medical results. The additional imaging would of course not be covered by insurance. This felt like an attempt by El Camino to profit from some high cost imaging without concern for the patient's mental well-being or pocketbook. SO unprofessional and disappointing. I thought El Camino was better than this.After finally getting the results from my bone density test I decided to update this review. The woman who performed it told me that I would not receive a copy of it since it would just be "a lot of numbers that you wouldn't understand" (I guess I look to dumb to research how to read it online) and that my doctor would explain it to me. When I finally managed to get on the mycare portal (after technical issues with my account were finally straightened out) the report was there and it was in plain English. The technician that performed these tests definitely needs to be educated on what is available to the patient.

They billed $1500 for the ultrasound imaging service. That's a new nationwide record. Also the price does not include the images reading. It is an extra $200. El Camino Health Hospital has similar claims. Read before visiting them.
