Garet Comer's Online Review Report Card

His diagnosis of my condition seemed biased towards further costly office visits that may not be in my best interest, even though I expressed my concerns of such treatments. My well being and recovery did not seem to be his highest priority.

Just came back to see him for my elbow swelling. Doctor Garet was very nice and explained to me the root cause and the different options of treatments. For someone like me who is needle-fobia the injections he gave me were almost painless and he drained all the liquid out without much pain. I will definitely go back to see him again for future injuries, hopefully not too soon. 🤣

In an unusual twist of events, I was scheduled for carpal tunnel surgery with Dr. Comer without having ever met him before. (!) My own orthopedist went out on leave just before my surgery, so they rebooked me with him. This was a bit nerve wracking in itself, but it was also my first surgery. I explained this to Dr. Comer's assistant, Monica. She put my mind at ease right away. She told me that he's a great surgeon and a great guy. She was kind and comforting. When Dr. Comer came in, he introduced himself and addressed the unusual situation right away. We talked about the diagnosis and the procedure. He was very nice and professional. Good sense of humor. Really made me feel comfortable. He talked me through the numbing process and through the whole procedure. He explained what he was doing every step of the way and was happy to adjust his communication based on my comfort level. The whole thing went very well and so far my recovery has been a snap. I can't think of anything Dr. Comer or his assistant could have done better.

Dr. Garet C. Comer, M.D., and his assistant Monica, continue to amaze our family with their diligent professionalism, conscientious follow up, efficiency, and the concern and care they provide our elderly mother. Dr. Comer and Monida are exceptional and outstanding in every possible way.

Before even introducing himself, Dr. Comer immediately chastised me for apparently self- diagnosing, which I absolutely did not do, and even if I had, I’m not a doctor. What difference would that have made? This made me instantly feel like my health was under any degree of care or concern. And I was right! The doctor then told me about his upcoming vacation and that I would have to wait longer for a return visit. He still wrote one month on the card I brought to the assistant, so when I tried to explain to her that I couldn’t meet in exactly one month, she told me she had no record of the doctor taking any time off and she had to abide by what was in the note. Lo and behold, two weeks later I get a call telling me that I had scheduled my appointment in the middle of his vacation. Yeah, I tried to explain that. This all cost me $400 and the only medical advice I received was to “go check out some YouTube videos"

If this doctor or facility truly cared for their patients they would actually listen to them instead of just doing damage control on Google. Pathetic.

Met with Dr. Comer ~ consultation regarding my trigger finger and a cyst on my thumb. Very knowledgeable and helpful in my understanding what it was. Immediately took an x-ray down the hall came back in to be evaluated. Set up the surgery. Did not have to be put out ; just had a local anesthesia. Went quiet well and he was wonderful. I would recommend him to anybody who had hand problems.

I saw Dr Comer for removal of a .5 inch splinter embedded in my finger. He fit me in between surgeries so that I could get it removed. He was very professional explaining my options and then carrying out the procedure. He and his assistants were great.

My wife had two trigger finger surgery’s on same hand same day. She has been at a pain level 20 her hand is swollen I also heard a popping noise she called to let them know how much pain she is in they said the dr is out of town for two days they gave her some weak 500 hydrcodone with tylenol. They said it was just a minor surgery she kept me up all night last night her hand is swollen up like a baseball glove. They are not very sympathetic about this whole situation. Very un professional they should of given her something a lot stronger for the pain even if it’s only a couple of days worth. They or he works for us we pay him letting someone suffer like this and treat them like they are a drug addicted person this is not how you conduct business. Not a good bedside manner. I would not recommend him to anyone. Thank you, Scott
