Jesus Borrillo's Online Review Report Card

I went to my optometrist (Jennifer Quirante at Rockaway Beach Optometry) to check my prescription and she immediately discovered a serious problem. The next day, I was in Luigi Borrillo's office. His scan confirmed her diagnosis and he treated me at once. Between her diligence and knowledge and his expertise in all things ophthalmic---diagnostic and surgical---my sight was saved.

I was so scared when I was diagnosed of retina tear by my primary ophthalmologist Dr Borrillo saved my eye. The procedure was short and no pain. He is caring and cheerful, the best doctor I have ever seen.

My wife came home on Friday night and said something was floating in her eyes. Afraid that it could be retina tear. I called Dr. Borrillo around 7:30 PM on Friday night. He took a call and would meet us at 9:00 pm on Friday night. Wow! If I had a son to be a medical doctor, I really want him to be like him. Luckily everything was ok with my wife, but he sure gave us a peaceful weekend. He also fixed my retina tear and I highly recommend him.

I had flashes of light and floaters on a Sunday afternoon and the emergency care doctor recommended I see Dr. Borrillo as soon as possible. The ER doctor contacted Dr. Borrillo and I met him at his surgery in Mountain View that Sunday afternoon, where he advised that the detached retina tear be laser stitched back in place immediately. This he did with complete success. I have returned for check-ups and am completely happy with his professional care and have had no further retinal eye issues. He is very humorous and cheery but underneath all that, he is a consummate professional and very skilled. As a physicist I have had several in depth discussion with him and can attest that he has an in depth understanding of optics as regards the eye. I unhesitatingly recommend Dr. Borrillo.

I was uninsured. And I had damaged my eye. I did not know what was wrong with it. Dr. Borrillo saved my vision. And he hardly charged me. This man goes beyond being a doctor. To me he is a Saint!

Here is a doctor that met me in his office on a Sunday to check my eyes. I had PVD, a sudden onset of floaters. After following me for 7 months we decided on surgery to remove them. I was a basket case as NOBODY wants needles stuck in their eyes!Dr. Borillo guided me through the surgery and what to expect. It was seriously minor in terms of post op and my eyesight is back to 20/20 in that eye. I LOVE this man! He is amazing, caring and seriously talented.

I've been a patient of this practice since 2008 and have had multiple detachments of various severities. I've needed laser surgery and retinal cryopexy more times than I can remember now. I've seen Borrillo in Daily City, San Mateo and Stanford. This is just an excellent doctor in an excellent practice, my vision has been saved multiple times by highly professional and courteous medical & support staff - never had any complications. He has always taken the time to explain my condition and medical options and his recommendations - always with a very reassuring, patient and calming manner. He's also been very cheerful and upbeat when I've had to drag him in at a weekend for emergency surgery. Complete professional.

He is a professional Doctor he is very friendly he takes his time to explain everything very simple for his patient to understand in one word he is an awesome eye doctor

** Yay I'm the first for 2015 **I'll keep this as short as possible. I think it's a breath of fresh air to have such a happy, approachable, humorous eye doctor. I appreciate how he is honest and serious, but yet jovial, when needed. I like when he asks "what questions do you have for me?" I've learned to come in with a few questions, even some that are repeats just to be sure I recall the answers from last visit. It is nerve wracking as no one knows your eyes condition, which can change and reminds one anything can change in your eyes. But I called after hours, not knowing which dr was on call, it happen to be him responding lickity split (under 5 min) I couldn't text back, so I called and he answered and squeezed me in the next morning. When I walked right at door opening, the front reception already knew of My visit. Although seeing a specialists, can be a bit scary, Dr. Borillo has a way of lightening the mood during what may bring you down. I'd certainly recommend him to friends and family ;)
