Been a patient of Dr. Chao for more than 10 years. One of the best cardiologists you can find in bay area. Knowledgeable, caring, professional, and sharp. I recommended Dr. Chao to many of my friends.

He has a really neat in-office ultrasound machine which can scan various organs in your body to detect abnormalities. From a heart standpoint, he usually has you ride a stationary bicycle to get your heart rate up and then he can get a clearer ultrasound scan of your heart to determine problems. Non-invasive, painless, and useful in my opinion. Although things detected may not be malignant, I would still rather know than not know. Felt that the doctor actually did something rather than guessing at your diagnosis.
