I had my manometry done on Aug 16th by Dr. Shelter. It went well. No pain, no bleeding nose, etc. If you cannot get it done being awake then Dr Shelter can do it for you at El Camino Hospital. I got a great nurse, the doctor that put me under dr. Phan is also good . I am glad that went well for me.

I had my manometry done by her on August 16, 2018 at El Camino hospital. I coudn't do it awake. Not brave enough and just very sensitive to pain. I didn't have any pain or bleeding nose.I felt fine when I woke up. I got a good nurse that is 6' 1" tall and she is so nice too.The doctor that put me under is also nice . Overall I was in good hands by the two doctors and the nurse.

I hate to leave bad reviews but she is not qualified for all the things she says she is.She has a bad memory and could not remember what We talked about.Scary.She is working at PAMF in Mt View and you need to look around and get 2nd opinions on things she recommends.

Dr. Shelter is the best gastro I've seen in peninsula (and I've seen a few..). First, she is practical. She doesn't copy/paste from the book (or search google) like the average doctor. She listens. Yes, listens. While most other doctors forgot (or never understood) their oath, she listen then provide her suggested treatment given the patient's circumstance and attitude. She's an old school doctor with a modern attitude.

I saw Dr Shetler today for the first time, for a colonoscopy. I liked her, but the colonoscopy was extremely painful. The drugs did not make it into my system (I know this because they claimed to have doubled the morphine dose and yet there was no lessening of pain and i was barely even drowsy after - completely different from my previous experience. Also, I feel she should have paused the procedure until they made sure the drugs were working . Really awful experience and no one even apologized

I had severe gastrointestinal problems for a number of years. I was going from one physician to another and nobody could help. Finally, my primary care physician referred me to the Dr. Shetler. She carefully reviewed my history, did a complete physical exam, spent over an hour during first consultation and ordered tests which helped to diagnose my problem and find appropriate treatment. I am feeling 100% better now and enjoying my life. Thank you, Dr. Shetler!
