List of Lakshmi Myneni's Reviews
Spoke to my ins co today. Not only are the codes used by Dr. Myneni not consistent with past RA Dr but Dr. Myneni's office is billing me $4,950 for Remicade and the past RA Dr. billed me $3,600 for Remicade. I double checked my past bills and sure enough that info is correct. The reason why I did not receive my treatment is due to greed. I am currently in a great deal of pain because I did not receive my treatment on 7/21/22 as scheduled. When my GP diagnosed me with RA in 1999 he advised me that he would not wish this disease on his worst enemy. I would not recommend this Dr to my worst enemy. I knew something was up when I first met her. I had an appt at 11am and she didn't show up until 11:20. In fact I dropped off my paperwork in the beginning of March 2022 and the office mgr didn't scan my documents until after I arrived for the appt.
On 7/21/22 I showed up to the Dr office as I was scheduled for an infusion treatment. Dr refused to give me treatment. Dr office made a mistake with the insurance codes as my ins co compared the codes used from my previous Dr to Dr. Myneni's codes, which differed. Dr. Myneni then told me that my ins co didn't cover Remicade (medicine). Dr. Myneni angrily thrust 2 documents which I suppose were to support her lie. After trying to have a discussion with Dr. Myneni it was clear that she would not listen and I left. When I got to my car one of the documents she gave me was from my ins co pharmacy dept. In the body of the letter Remicade was noted and the dosages. It stated effective 5/16/22 through 5/15/23 and just below that in bold letter it states: The medication you or your doctor asked us to review is approved. My ins co has been attempting to call Dr. Myneni since 7/19/22 and the office so far has refused to return calls. Dr. Myneni also stated to me that out of a courtesy her office submits insurance claims. Now she wants me to pay her. I told her that the only way she is going to get paid is if she changes the ins codes she used and resubmits the claim. As of the evening of 7/21/22 the knuckles on my left hand have swollen and are hot to the touch and the pain level is an 8 with 10 being the worse due to not receiving my treatment. Dr. Myneni's is unethical in the way she runs her office. DO NOT GO TO THIS DR. OFFICE as Dr. Myneni should not have a medical practiceI have sent a 38 page grievance to my insurance company with a copy of the letter Dr. Myneni gave me which was sent to the doctor and states that the medicine is covered. Will update posting once grievance outcome is known
I would not choose Dr Myneni. I had my 1st remicade treatment with her on 5/26/22. My ins paid them on 6/18/22. I received a call from Francis on 7/18 @5:39pm advising to contact ins co due to payment. I called the ins co the following day and they advised they were paid on 6/18. I call and advise the Dr office of this info. I get another call from Francis this time advising me that the medication was not paid for. I call the ins co back and they advised me that the provider made a mistake on the paperwork and that the provider needs to call the ins co to fix mistake. I call and leave a VM with these instructions along with the phone number Francis needs to call to remedy problem. Now the Dr is refusing to give me my next infused treatment on 7/21/22 This is unethical and I am filing a grievance with the ins co. The Dr office does not deserve the 1 star that I had to give. You simply do not treat people like this especially when it is the Dr office mistake. Take responsibility for your actions and don't wait until the last minute to contact a patient. This Dr office obviously new about payment issue on 6/18/22 when they received a partial payment.
June 2019: Per the recommendation of my gyn NP, I have an initial appointment with Dr. Myneni. My gyn NP had *really* wanted me to get on Prolia, a drug for treating osteopenia/osteoporosis. After almost an hour of Dr. Myneni chattering away at me, she suddenly seems to realize that she has other appointments and sort of attempts to end mine. I ask her what the plan is! She fills out a bunch of test order forms and hands them to me. What was overwhelmingly clear from this appointment is that she thought I could wait a year until I was old enough to be on Medicare, which I already knew was much more willing to cover Prolia than most private insurance companies. So, I decided to comply, i.e., wait.April 2020: I become old enough for Medicare BUT there's a pandemic on so I figure I can wait a few more months to get started with Prolia.December 2020: I'd given up waiting for the pandemic to end and had an appointment with Dr. Myneni. I got shown to an exam room, handed over my insurance cards, got my BP and temp taken, etc. I then noticed that I could hear Dr. Myneni speaking rather loudly and rapidly to somebody else in another room. It didn't sound like ANY of them were wearing masks. At this point, it was 10 minutes past my appointment time so I decided to wander out into the hallway to see if I could determine whether this conversation really was a maskless one. What did I see? Dr. Myneni herself, backing out of another exam room, still yammering on. She was wearing a face shield and a mask that covered only her mouth! I was sooooooo outta there! An MD who doesn't wear a mask over her nose and mouth in her own medical office?!?!?She seemed like a nutcase during my first visit and like a seriously unprofessional professional during my second visit. I'm not risking a third....
Dr. Lakshmi Myneni is awesome. Helped me when I had incredible pain. Very peaceful office
I am very fortunate to have Dr. Lakshmi Myneni. I feel this office has a very friendly and cordial atmosphere. Francis makes you feel comfortable.
This is the most poorly run medical office I've ever dealt with. I'd give it 0 stars if possible. I was referred to Dr. Myneni for a pain in my leg. First, it took several calls to get through to the office, even though I called during office hours. Calls either went to a machine or an answering service. Messages weren't returned. When I finally got through to make an appointment several days later, I was told I had to have a bone scan first. I asked how long it would take to get an appointment once I'd had the scan and the receptionist, Francis, was abrupt, borderline rude, and refused to give me an idea. It took approximately a week and a half to get a bone scan. Meanwhile my leg was getting worse. When I arrived at the outpatient facility for the scan, the technician pointed out that the order was for a general bone density scan and didn't cover the affected area. I called the doctor's office from the clinic to confirm I was getting the right test but no one answered the phone (again during office hours); my message was never returned.I called the doctor's office the following day to say I'd had the scan and could I please schedule an appointment now. Francis informed me I couldn't schedule an appointment until the office had received the results of the scan. I asked how long it would take to get an appointment once the office had the results. He refused to give me even an idea, saying he "wasn't next to the appointment schedule." He was dismissive and--snarky is the best word I can come up with to describe his attitude.I called the testing clinic the following week to confirm that the results of the bone density test were in and had been sent to Dr. Myneni's office. They hadn't been; the clinic needed a particular form faxed from the doctor's office. I called the office to ask that the form be sent. Again, no one answered the phone. I left a message. Meanwhile, my leg had been getting progressively worse. It had been at least three and a half weeks since I first tried to contact the office and I was finding it difficult to walk. Finally, August 21, I received a call from Francis. He informed me that he now had the test results and could give me an appointment but, unfortunately, there weren't any openings for new patients until November. November??!! If I'd had any idea this office was so thoroughly messed up, I'd never have called in the first place. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! Read the other reviews. This office is the most unprofessional medical practice I've ever encountered.
I have been in severe, severe pain and Dr. Myneni was able to alleviate with diet changes and some medicine. She has always been kind, honest, informative, and cared about my problems. She is very smart doctor, dealing with a lot of aging people. I wish I was 25 again, but I am not and since I am not, I am glad and proud Dr. Myneni is one of my Doctors.
I have infusions done at Dr. Myneni's office every 2 months. She's extremely knowledgeable about my condition, the medicine, and the side effects. She spends plenty of time with me to be sure all of my questions are addressed. Her staff isn't quite as polished as some of the staff at a high volume hospital, but they're nice, knowledgeable, and very good at their jobs.
I wouldn't talk about all my experience in length, in respect of her and my privacy in the transaction. And the only summary of my feelings - VERY VERY different from what I usually expect as a baseline from a doctor. I'm not satisfied.
