Dr Epstein is a great guy, hes been around forever. He does forget a lot of things too so it is helpful if you are well informed about your medical picture and can remind him. The girl who answers the phone, Sochi, makes a LOT of mistakes, on one occasion I sent reminders for her to order medications which she had not done correctly. She also failed to submit a referral to another doctor, even though she said she did.. I got in touch When I called to remind her she started screaming her lungs out on the phone. Very unstable.,,, in fact kookoo. 5 for Dr. Epstein. Zero for sochi.

Five stars for Dr. Epstein, zero for the rest of the office.Dr. Epstein is a great guy, has really been around. He does forget things he has said and done, with a gentle reminder he is right back on track. I seek out older docs , avoid younger ones generally, not to say there are no good younger docs around. Not many in my view.Other aspects of this office are appalling bad. Worst I've ever seen. I was born and raised saturated with physicians in my family, then medical training too. The girl who answers the phone, named Sochi, routinely puts me on hold then does not return to the call. Her way of hanging up the phone if she does not like you, apparently. Most recently she led me to believe she had faxed a referall I requested when she did not. She appears to deliberately obstruct the process of getting proper care.Unbelievable.

Unfortunately, it has been many years since Dr. Epstein was my internal medicine doctor. However, every time I think of the best doctor I ever had I think of Dr. Epstein. I lived in the Bay Area all of my adult life, and while he may not remember me, I cannot ever forget his thoroughness, his extraordinary memory and knowledge. He diagnosed a life-threatening disease I have in its infancy and, therefore, saved my life. I know I will never be able to replace him and highly recommend him to anyone seeking a top-notch diagnostician.

He was my dad's doctor forever and my doc for 30+ years now and he's simply, a treasure. I remember when I had no insurance and he worked around the expense of major tests just using his expertise in healing and diagnosed and treated me and my pancreatic issue was resolved, thanks to him! Smart, bright, friendly, and he is really plugged into technology as well. I also love Norma, his nurse for years, super nice and helpful. Hope he continues for many more years.
