List of Leonard Doberne's Reviews
Dr Doberne has been my endocrinologist for over 20 years. I have received care from him that has been above all expectations. In my opinion, there is no better qualified, more knowledgeable or compassionate doctor in the business. I moved recently and will miss my appointments with this kind soul.
Dr. Doberne is one of the best Medical Practitioners I know. He cares very deeply for his patients and is incredibly knowledgeable in so many areas. He is also very willing to say when he is not familiar with something. He takes a great deal of time with each patient and you never feel rushed. He has helped me immensely with my health in the 20+ years I have been his patient.
I'm putting this review because my wife was so happy about the service Dr Monica Patel provided today. My wife had a neck lump, Dr Monica Patel was very friendly and did a thorough ultrasound scan on the neck/thyroid (this was unlike the one that she had before which was like 5min few years ago) . She gave us a full rundown on the background of the diagnosis. My wife said she recommends the Doctor to anyone.
Dr.Doberne's practice had very good physicians (endocrinologists) until about 3 years ago. Their newer physicians are inexperienced and could care less about patients.
My life turning point was happened in that center. It was long story and it was a sad story. I never wanted to take any pills in my whole life, but it was happened by one of their doctor treatment after. Now I have to do this. No life quality and no freedom !
I was Dr. Doberne's patient for several years. He had me in tears multiple times with mean comments as I was trying to understand my condition and procedures, including a day when he was doing a biopsy in my neck with a long needle. You will do ok with Dr. Doberne if you don't speak unless spoken to. He even made a rude remark a year later about the biopsy appointment. He spent over a half hour fidgeting with non-working ultrasound machines and trying to move cords around and get a machine to work so we could have a needle-guided biopsy. He's happy to chatter on about the machines and costs and such, but not answer questions about endocrinology issues. After being on the same synthroid dose for many years, he refused to refill my prescription unless I came in in a short period of time, and he fired me from his practice. I tolerated his lateness (often running way behind) and rudeness for years because I thought he seemed thorough making little diagrams and notes on my history. I chalked it up to being nutty and told myself he must be a savant of some sort. I am looking for a new endocrinologist.
He helped teach me how to be a sucessful diabetes survivor. If you want a doc who will welcome you as a partner in your own health care, he is great. He'll share charts and articles so you can make informed decisions. If you want a Me Doctor, You Lowly Patient type, he might not be the doc for you. I'm not that kind of patient, so I don't know. He is my fave doc ever in my 61years.
Dr. Doberne refuses to listen to symptoms and is unable to understand that his patients lead extremely busy lives. I am now without synthroid medication for a week because he refused to fill/maintain a prescription I was on, and suggested I find another doctor who will maintain my prescription. Do yourself a favor, and find another doctor. Clearly, I will be.
Very Experienced and cost conscious Dr. I have met. Work with me through all my medication and concerns about side effects and food impulses.
Dr. Doberne is a wonderful doctor. He is especially skilled at thyroid biopsies. He has a great bedside manner and is very wise in determining medication levels.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
