Nicole Simpson's Online Review Report Card

I've been Dr Simpson's patient for over five years. She's always given me great advice and has always taken the time to answer all of my questions. She has helped me so much in managing my chronic GI illness. Can't imagine this journey without her. Highly recommended.

Dr. Simpson's treatment plan is just to prescribe you medication with no changes to diet or exercise. She would dismiss any of my questions regarding changes to my diet because she thinks that food has no effect on my colitis. After a flare, she wanted to perform a sigmoidoscopy. I was very apprehensive, but decided to do it anyways. It was extremely uncomfortable, embarrassing, and at times painful. Even when I wanted to stop, she insisted that we continue and used "cancer" as a scare tactic to continue on. My new gastroenterologist even said that the procedure was unnecessary. Shortly after that and a couple tense appointments, I found a GI that I'm very grateful to have found.

Dr. Simpson is the reason I finally reached remission in my autoimmune disease. Before I saw her I was a mess. She is thorough and makes sure I am well taken care of. She is always bright and cheerful, always making sure I am okay. She does the tests needed and takes any concerns I have with ultimate seriousness. She cares a lot and I don’t ever want another GI besides her!

She is very smart and professional. She is open to new ideas and knows what she is taking about. She is helping my daughter with IBS much better than other doctors did in the past.

Incompetent.

Such a irresponsible doctor. I went see her for some pelvic pain. She just let me go because she didn't find anything for the pelvic area but made a comment that my upper abdominal felt hard. I asked her to do an ultrasound. She told me there is no ultrasound for the area. I asked my primary and she ordered it, they found a cyst on the organ. I then asked Dr. Simpson who said no need to follow up because cyst is small. Well she couldn't even identify what kind of cyst it is, benign or not.

My new go to Doctor for stomach issues or colonoscopy. She's great, good personality, takes her time to answer all questions. Responds quickly to emails. Her staff is also very good. So glad I found her. Actually sent me a thank you note after a procedure!

The doctor kept imposing her academic thinking about drugs/medicines as way to heal digestive issues. I asked her alternatives to drugs like changing diet, and she rudely dismissed it. Well, I decided not to take her prescribed medicines (which were long term and I read about horrible side effects on prolonged use), and went on a specific diet plan which seems to have reduced my symptoms at a great extent.It makes me sad to see why such MDs are prejudiced of holistic and natural methods to heal symptoms of digestive problems. They should be supporters of true health, and not salespeople for drugs/medicines.

I am a hospital RN. I was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Nicole Simpson within a week of calling the office. I waited less than 10 in the waiting room and less than 10 in the exam room to see her. Dr. Simpson was courteous, personable, and very thorough in taking my history and asking me relevant questions. She spent much longer with me than I anticipated answering all my questions thoroughly and giving me options with pros and cons. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Simpson.
