Nutrition Services: Mountain View Center's Online Review Report Card

$660 for a 15 minute dermatology appointment during which two tiny spots on my skin were frozen - one dab each. That's $44 a minute. How can this be right? Three years ago, I had a similar treatment and length of visit at a dermatologist outside of PAMF that cost $150. More fool me for going to PAMF; I won't make the mistake again.

I was using PAMF for many years with reasonable satisfaction but ever since Sutter Health took over this fine organization care rapidly deteriorated. Any time I needed appointment with GP I was forced to have zoom call with NP or unfamiliar GP and all correspondence is exclusively with "care team" which constitutes of multiple and always different nurses ( I wonder if some are actually located somewhere in Philippines or East Coast ). I resorted to going to local independent urgent care where I can get immediate exam AND medication for simple infections or x-ray for simple sprain etc, which would otherwise be major hustle in PAMF. At the same time I am constantly "reminded" to schedule an annual physical exam WITHOUT any labs ordered for the same - I am sorry, I like my GP, but that chat is really too expensive considering that exam constitutes of weight, height and BP measurements and no labs involved without my insistence. THIS IS NOT doctor's fault, I know this for a fact - it is SUTTER that is pushing and regulating doctors. Sutter is basically now "manged care" BUT with exorbitant prices on top ! Managed care in other countries is FREE and so waiting for app. for 3 mos is in that case acceptable. "Care" in Sutter fluctuates between hustling and almost negligence and never is in a sweet spot in between like it was 15 or more years ago.

My wife and I have been members since you were Camino Med Group on Old San Francisco Rd, She passed in2018. I have never had a bad experience. But have a question for a problem that started last year. Every time I send a message to my doctor someone else answers it. My doctor knows me inside and out "Tee Hee' Her medical team does not. I realize she is busy just by looking at on line appt booking. Not till 2025. I know you have my records but please do not print my name or hers. She and all others are angels on earth. Why can she not at least just say Hi? P.S. Whats with the construction at 701?

Came here for biopsy. The entire staff who helped me was courteous and respectful. Great teamwork on the floor I was on. Very helpful and polite.

Had a very unpleasant experience with Sutter/Palo Alto Medical Foundation Mountain View Internal Medicine lately. The doctor and his staff were so rude and not professional at all. They both kept saying "Okay?!" so loud that ppl outside can hear them all over. I was clueless why I had been scolded badly. He may be running behind the schedule. But his manner was so rude that make it's no difference from a harassment. Will never go back again. I still can't believe how a family doctor can be such a bully to his patient. I wish I could file a complaint to some dept.

Sutter Health? More like Sucker health. Have been PAMF customer for 15 years and came back to Sutter after 2 yrs with Kaiser. Selecting a PCP is such a hassel. No good ones available. The quality of PCPs under Sutter has dropped to atrocious levels. My PCP is a Bottom of the barrel candidate and most of the other PCPs were the same when I was looking for one. Inspite of this, all PCPs are always busy and unavailable for atleast 3 weeks for emergency consultation. When I had a health scare, I was given an appointment with a NP, who seemed scared to make any determination and referred me to surgery dept and I met with another NP there, while they billed me and my insurance at the full cost of a doctor's visit. She also referred me to take an expensive MRI and I'm having to pay hefty bill now. My wife has similar complains about her healthcare as well. The facility is poorly managed and the providers are either over worked or simply not there. I see Nurse practitioner names on the "Doctor On Duty" board outside. While PAMF had this strictly for the Doctors and specialists. Too bad that Mountain View and surrounding area has lost private practices in place of big box hostpitals like Sutter. There's no other competition except Kaiser, which again is another bad healthcare provider. But after these horrible experiences, I see Kaiser to be way better than Sutter health.

I've discovered it's a very time consuming and frustrating to try and schedule a mammogram appt. Even if you are at the facility and speaking with the person behind the counter at the breast care center, they cannot schedule appts. They will provide you with a number to call and leave your name and number with, and then you wait. And wait, and pray you don't play phone tag for days. Totally ridiculous as well as inefficient.

PALO ALTO MEDICAL FOUNDATION, MOUNTAIN VIEW Two years ago, I jumped out of bed in the morning full of energy, seriously overstretching my right thigh muscles and as I found out later, damaged the subcutaneous nerve. My young primary care physician Dr. Tran incorrectly diagnosed me with chronic back pain and sciatica without ever touching me. A nurse and physicians from Physiatry (PAMF Mountain View), PA Queiros, Dr. Shah who was supposed to be treating me and Dr. Perkash who I had asked for a second opnion, copied that. Dr. Shah even changed his diagnoses on Ssutter Health PROGRESS REPORTS for three visits, while he continued ordering MRIs and X-rays of my lumbar spine. Dr. Shah belittled me on Sutter Health. I had to wait a whole year, before Dr. Ding my new primary care physician ordered the MRI that I had wanted at the beginning of the treatment. Even after a year, it confirmed that I had overstretched my right thigh muscles. During the first year I went to Urgent Care four times because of pain. I fought several MRIS and X-rays of my lumbar spine without success. During the last one I was forced on the X-ray table by three technicians even though it caused me pain. My lumbar spine is already documented. It has never given me problems and I did not fall, so it did not change. Now, I can no longer walk the (2 to 4) miles/day, that I was able to right after the incident while I was unable to do any exercises because of the damaged subcutaneous nerve. My health has declined, my balance has gone down, my depression has increased and so has the medication. All that because a young Sutter Health PAMF MV physician entered her diagnosis into my health history and nobody can change that. PATIENTS HAVE NO RIGHTS! ROSEMARIE KOCH

What on earth has happened to PAMF Sutter Health??? Broke ankle in January and podiatrist rescheduled on me last minute twice in a row and each time I go to the rescheduled appointments was late for more than 1 hour and was seen for like 5 minutes. Had posterior vitrieous detachment of my eye and Ophthalmologist took 3+ months to book appointment. Finally at my appt I sat in waiting room for 2hrs 20 min before I lost my patience, Stood up, politely explained to the nurse, and walked away. I know my eye doctor is popular. I blame the hospital overworking him by overbooking At the patients' expense. At least have the courtesy to call me ahead so I don't waste more than half a day for absolutely nothing!
