Rahul Khurana's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Khurana has been my retina specialist since 2014. He performed surgery on my left eye that was hemorrhaging. He saved my left eye. In the years following, he has been taking care of my right eye, as well, as I am diabetic. Dr. Khurana is very knowledgeable and great with patients. I can personally vouch for him as one of the best Retina Specialists.

Dr. Khurana was the light at my darkest time. I started to see floats in my right eye back in 2019. My optometrist examined it and referred me to Dr. Khurana. It turned to be a retina detachment issue. Dr. Khurana offered me several options and helped me to pick up the best treatment. A surgery was quickly scheduled in a week. The surgery was very successful and the retina was well reattached. After the surgery, Dr. Khurana scheduled many follow-ups in the next few weeks making sure my retina grew stable. To be honest, I was very scared at that time. Dr. Khurana was very patient and answered all my questions. I felt relieved each time after seeing him. I had my eye regularly examined when I traveled to China and moved to Austin. All the other doctors I saw gave high praise to Dr. Khurana, telling me my retina was taken care of by the greatest hand.

I had an eye issue while i was visiting from out of town. Dr. Khurana and his team fit me in and evaluated my condition. I ended up having surgery back on the East Coast based in his advice whixh was the best situation for me. I deeply appreciate his great care which also included a call to me after my surgery to check on how I was doing. Deeply appreciate his skill, professionalism, and consideration.

Dr Khurana performed emergency retinal surgery on my eye and saved my vision and literally saved my eye! He is caring and knowledgeable. He takes as much time with his patients as they need. His followup appointments have been equally as caring and concerned. If I could, I would give him more than 5 stars.

After going through a multitude of general practitioners and specialists for an increasing severe illness, I came to Dr. Khurana to check a problem with my eyes. He diagnosed exactly what I had that other doctors didn't and worked to get me into hospital treatment rapidly. His knowledge of diseases that affect the eyes and the symptoms they present saved me from severe damage by an aggressive infection and possibly saved my life. He explains things well and provides follow up to make sure I am recovering well. He is personable, caring and extremely competent. Steve

Dr Khurana is a gentleman and a skilled doctor. I experienced complication from a "routine" cataract surgery by another doctor, I had lost sight completely on that one eye. I was referred to Dr Khurana who saw me right away and squeezed in recovery procedures at Good Sam Hospital. Due to the extremely opaqueness of the cornea ( I believe) he was operating under less than idea situation, yet the procedures of Lensectomy, Vitrectomy and a posterior lens implant was done successfully. And now more than a year later, almost 20/20 sight For me , being a gentleman is one of the highest regard I can give anyone and Dr Khurana is certainly one of them. He was very polite, knowledgeable and patience. He explained my problem and the pros and cons of corrective procedures in a clear and precise manner. Instantly I was assured that I was in excellent hands. Excellent bed side manner.

If I could, I would give him many more than 5 stars. He repaired my retinal tear in emergency surgery. His compassion and knowledge shine through in every appointment. I highly recommend him for any retinal needs.

Dr. Khurana is professional, kind, takes time with his patients and explains clearly. I highly recommend him as a retinal specialist. The examination and tests were very comprehensive. He allayed my fears. His staff, especially technician Ted, are also very nice. Plenty of parking. Office observes all Covid 19 protocols.

I feel that Dr. Khurana genuinely cares about his patients. I received excellent treatment through the various phases of my eye issues. Definitely would recommend Dr. Khurana to family and friends.

I had blood in my eye from a detached vitreous, and developed a bulge under part of the retina (a detached retina). Dr. Khurana scheduled an operation the same day, performing a vitrectomy, re-attaching the retina using a gas bubble, and tacking it in place with a laser. From the next day on, the eye has been fine. It did take 8 weeks for the gas bubble to be resorbed. It is six months later, and there have been no problems. Dr. Khurana was careful, informed, and had a gentle, intelligent patient-doctor manner. And he acted with dispatch when it was needed.
