Best doctor, very experienced, he provides the medicine to remove the problem from root.

I went to Dr. Scott Angel for an urinary incontinence. He ruled out cancer, but was very dismissive about the issue. He asked me to repeat after him that it was all in my head. It took me days to gather the courage to advocate for myself and follow up.

I had an appointment with Dr Angell this afternoon. I arrived 8 minutes late. He refused to see me. He sent his nurse out to inform me. The nurse claimed that “Dr Angell had a tight schedule and asked for my appointment to be rescheduled.” They never bothered to call me earlier in the day before I drove a long distance to get to PAMF facility in Mountain View. It is atrocious, given that the same facility can make patients wait for long periods past their appointment time. Sorely disappointed in this so called “health care provider.”

I had difficult urinating for years this time needed a catheter, Dr. Angell did thorough ultrasound scan and biopsy examination determined I need open BPH surgery to size down my giant prostate. Dr. Angell employed his invented creative surgery method that after the surgery my urethra remained intact. I felt no pain other than when my internal stitched wound area got stretched like during coughing or sneezing. I had no incontinence issue and felt all my sexual sense remained intact. During the surgery, Dr discovered one of my side had mild hernia. He fixed it along too. I’m a very demanding patient on health related matters. Throughout my surgery I realize Dr. Angell is a master in his field, he is very smart, knowledgeable and so experienced through his 30 years of practicing, he’s a top surgeon in my mind. I felt so lucky to have Dr. Angell took care of me, thank you so very much!

I called in after hours and came across this guy. Because my mom was sick. I asked a question about the meds and if they were prescribed before surgery. Because she's in pain. He chuckled. He. Chuckled. It's not a joke. It was a miserable convo.

Went to Dr. Angell to rid myself of a stubborn kidney stone that was too large to make it through urethra to the bladder, 6mm. Most urinary ailments are some what painful, kidney stones are no exception . Had gone to good Sam ER a few months previously, they thought it would pass, shout out to Dr Lipton for the great ER service at Good Sam, Ok this is Dr Angell's spot. First, Dr Angell's staff where all great, from receptionist to nurse to surgery scheduler. Dr Angell asked the right questions during exam, sent me around facility to run lab test and C scan, all took less than an hour, came back to Dr Angell's office, he verified results, went over removal procedures and process, all very professional, scheduled a surgery procedure within a few days. Procedure went well , 3 hrs, on the road home to recovery, was good to go in a few days, self performed stent removal and all well. Dr. Angell and staff made a miserable situation go away with solid professionalism . Unfortunately I feel many are looking for a Hollywood experience, healthcare is a business, everything has a cost, know your questions, and be pleasant,,do your research and ride that wave to your own successful health.

We went to DR. Angell in October 2017 for a vasectomy reversal.My husband had his initial vasectomy over 20 years ago and is in his 40's so we were concerned it was too late. Dr. Angell assured us he had over a 90% success rate regardless of age and duration of the initial vasectomy.We went ahead with the procedure which cost us around $12K. My husband was barely out of anesthesia before they put him in a wheel chair and released him. He was barely conscious for the rest of the day and it took him about three days to walk normal. Dr. Angell advised to wait a full year before coming in for a sperm analysis if we weren't pregnant. Now, I was 37 and my husband 44 at the time so timing is crucial when trying to conceive.Almost immediately after the surgery my husband started having a lot of back and nerve issues. It didn't occur to us at the time to possibly attribute it to the surgery until my husband went to a chiropractor. It was actually the chiropractor who asked if he'd gone through any lower extremity surgeries recently. It took almost six months for my husband to get back to normal.After one year of not getting pregnant, we went back for testing. Dr. Angell said he didn't find anything wrong during the physical exam and basically told us that he was successful in the sense that he was able to connect the tubes and there was nothing else he could do for us so our only option was IVF. When my husband tried explaining the back/nerve issues, Dr. Angell interrupted him frequently insisting that there was no way they were a result of the surgery to the point where my husband had to tell him to stop and let him finish his sentences. We googled the issues and although it's rare, it can happen.Three months later we went to the Stanford fertility clinic. The fertility doctor recommend we go to the Stanford urology department because my husbands blood tests were very positive. Immediately they realized that there was a lot of scar tissue built up in the tubes which Dr. Angell didn't seem to find during his inspection three months prior despite the surgery being done a year prior. We were also told that there was a possibility that there were blockages further up and they scheduled us for a second reversal (my husband is super amazing for going through all this). During the surgery they found scar tissue blocking one tube from the initial surgery as well as a blockage further up on the other tube that they had to bypass, something Dr. Angell did not look for. Post surgery they would not release my husband until the anesthesia completely wore off and the cost of the procedure was HALF of what Dr. Angell charged. He was able to get up and walk around without any issues that day and healed much faster than the first surgery. When I asked how long to wait to come in for testing if I wasn't pregnant they told us no longer than three months due to our age, they didn't want us to wait a full year before looking at alternative options. Overall, really unhappy with Dr. Angell. He wasn't thorough in his procedure or his exam. He had us wait a full year prior to getting tested which, considering our age and per other doctors, is not a good thing. He really just washed his hands of us. It's been two months since our surgery at Stanford. Hopefully we will get to update this review with good news.

Had a very positive experience with Dr Angell. Consultation recommended by a trusted generalist, then a surgical procedure. Successful, no pain, felt well handled throughout the process.
