Shuichi Kobayashi's Online Review Report Card

CA州外から日本式人間ドックを受けました。それ自体は良かったと思いますが、結果が出た後のケアがまるで人が変わったかのように豹変してビックリでした。メールでの問い合わせには無回答、電話でメッセージを残しても無回答、こちらから何度も問い合わせして１週間以上経ちやっと繋がるも、「州外だから何も出来ないんですよね、他でお願いします」以上。州外だから何も出来ないのは良く分かりますが、こちらからの問い合わせに答えるくらいはしていただいても良かったのでは、と思います。CA州の健康な人が行く分には良いのではないでしょうか。

２０分でPCR検査が終わりました。 皆さんは優しくてよかったです。 ありがとうございます。

Poor attitude, unprofessional useless doctor making me wonder if he really has physician's license. This doc is annoying.態度デカいだけのヤブ医者。

The office clerk who answers the phone is not helpful at all and in fact a bit rude and has a 'can't be bothered with' attitude. She asked which insurance my mom had and after the reply she said "Oh, we don't accept insurance". What doctor doesn't accept any insurance and if its truly the case, why ask her which insurance she had??!! Also, she asked what the health issue was with my mom and when my mom explained she has angina, the office clerk told her she should go see a cardiologist anyways. I called back another time and she said yes, the doctor was accepting new patients. Then when I asked if the insurance companies they accept is on their website, she said "Oh, we are not accepting new patients". It seems as if they pick and choose their patients. Do not go to this office if you are looking for a friendly and helpful staff.

おそらくeじゃんなどでこのエリアの日本人医師を心細い気持ちで探している人が辿り着くと思うので、日本語で先ほどのやり取りを、 「（ガチャ）はい？」 「あ、妻が腹痛を訴えていて・・」 「保険は？」 「えっと、XXX（会社名）の」「XXXなんて保険は無いよ」「いや、UnitedHealthです」 「あーうちはUnitedHealthはOut of Network」 「あ、そうなんですね。Primaryのドクターが夏休みで」「そういうことで（ガチャ）」 やりとりの内容は、結局のところ保険のネットワーク内かどうかを確認しただけなんだけど、何だあの面倒な電話を掛けてくんなと言わんばかりの木で鼻を括ったような対応は。問い合わせに対する姿勢があんな態度の所に、大事な妻のケアをして欲しくない。低い声の男性は、受付かドクター本人か分からないが（聞く気も失せた）、二度と問い合わせすらしたくないです。

I've been going to Dr. Kobayashi for nearly a decade. Even when I'm out of network, I still go to Dr. Kobayashi. I trust his diagnosis and is very thorough. Not some seemingly random testing some others doctors do. He explains in detail of what's the diagnosis or his approach. Other doctors might just patch you up and get you out the door. But he'll try to get to the root of it. When other specialist doctors also have good things to say about Dr. Kobayashi, you know he's a good doctor. He is a no BS type of guy and gets straight to the point. His office admins is always helpful and do their diligence in handling insurance issues. When an insurance issue occurs, just take a bit of time to explain and they will do what they have control over. But there are times its insurance policies that ties up what they can or can not do.

Kobayashi is the worst doctor I have ever met. He made me sick.

この病院は最悪でした。。受付に急病人がいることを伝えても予約がいっぱいで五時間待てとしかいわない。他の病院のことを聞いても知らないの一点張り。また、他の病院を見て直ぐ連絡するから仮予約してもらっても良いかと聞くと、キャンセルポリシーも説明せず確定でよいかと聞いてくる（人の話聞いてるのか。。）。よく聞いてみると来なかった場合は280ドルかかるという。確定か聞く前にキャンセルポリシーくらいは説明するだろう。。正直、日本語対応をしている意味がわからないほど、柔軟性のない病院で全くおすすめできません。

Lack of professionalism, rude attitude. He should learn how to communicate with his patients. Kobayashi wasted my time. I recommend think twice before you visit his clinic. Kobayashi is the worst MD ever.
