Thomas Rarick's Online Review Report Card

I would avoid Dr. Rarick at all costs. Three key issues:1. He doesn't really provide any practical guidance and expects you to simply ask questions. We spent most of our time looking things up and asking him about. He's also not on top of the practice. We had a couple of ER visits and multiple blood tests, he would never call to provide results and wouldn't even address them on visits (we had to ask, which goes into points 2 and 3). 2. The issue is that when you ask him, his answers are long winded theoretical answers that aren't helpful. He often doesn't answer the question and when he does, he doesn't offer a recommendation.3. He's condescending when you ask him a question twice even though he doesn't answer the question or get to the point. He even raised his voice in our last visit (which is why we stopped and switched doctors).Dr. Rarick often left us with more questions than answers and his visits were not only unhelpful, they were also stress inducing. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Rarick to anybody.

Dr. Rarick is a phenomenal OBGYN. He is extremely knowledgeable, humble and approachable all at the same time. He isn't there in this profession to make money but rather to make lives better. He cares about my well being and I've heard this from all the women I know who go to him. Over the years I've been dealing with fibroids cysts and several other issues. He has been very thorough in his treatment plan and has helped me through with the most complicated issues. I cannot recommend this doctor enough. My only regret is that not all doctors are like him. I've encountered several doctors in my life and the hardest thing is to find someone competent who actually cares about your health!!I was first asked by my friend to visit him a decade ago when I had some issues. He educated me about my condition and that gave me so much more peace of mind in taking control of my own health and choices. What's more is that even though he is so knowledgeable he never made me feel like I'm asking stupid questions. I sleep better knowing that he is concerned about the health of women in the community! He is a class act as a doctor!

Terrible. Doesn’t even remember what medication he prescribed. One visit he was late for 1 hour and had me wait in exam room and I was charged extra even though he barely spoke to me before rushing out the door

Dr rarick was great on the first visit. Thereafter each visit was worse than the next. By my third visit he couldn’t remember my medications prescribed. Also I had one visit which I had to wait 1 hour and then charged extra for his time when he barely talked to me and rushed me out of the door. His business office is also hard to reach

Rarick has been my primary care/ OB provider for several years. He listens to my concerns, orders appropriate tests, and keeps up with latest practice guidelines. I have never felt him dismiss my concerns, not have I ever felt that I needed to fight to get care.

Dr. Rarick is a terrible doctor with zero bedside manners. He is unclear with his instructions and treatment plan, dislikes questions, and YELLS when asked clarifying questions. He loves sharing deep medical knowledge in technical terms but when asked to speak English, he treats you like you are dumb! His office staff doesn't return calls on time, is unclear about providing next steps and follow-up. When we requested to speak to the doctor directly due to lack of clarity, he lost his cool and asked us to leave. The worst part?? It doesn't end here, he billed the insurance incorrectly so that we have a way higher out of pocket. He had us pay the insurance upwards of $500 for NO treatment. It's been such a torturous experience with this guy. This asshole should be charged for medical malpractice.

Literally the best doctor I've ever had hands down, across all disciplines. Super knowledgeable (obviously keeps up with research) and caring. I never felt rushed during our appointments. I am sad that I moved away and have to find a new gynecologist.

In short, it took me 3 days to get my prescription after saw Dr. Rarick and agreed on a treatment, and the treatment changed without talking to me first.The day I visited the doctor, he answered all my questions and helped with my concerns fine. But he might have forgot about my prescription after talking about multiple topics, which I understand people can forget or they are busy. In the next 3 days, I called and messaged like 10 times to the hospital to remind him of the prescription as I needed it badly to relieve my discomfort and avoid future infections. The receptionists are very friendly in listening to my needs and sending messages to the doctor. However, the communication strategy that I can only talk to the receptionists instead of the doctor directly is very frustrating when things go wrong. The back and forth messages instead of a call takes too much time and delays my treatment. Finally, I got the prescription, but the instruction is different from what we agreed and I didn't get any explanation of the risks. I had to call again and the doctor eventually called me back and gave some clarification. Unfortunately I missed the call, so I didn't get all my questions answered and I couldn't call him back directly. I gave up, and decided to take the medicine as we discussed when I saw him, at least I know well of that. Additionally, I saw someone else complained about the doctor often go out of office. It happened to me as well. So I had to be connected to the on-call doctor, but since she doesn't know all my situation so she could only prescribe one capsule for me and I have to wait for Dr. Rarick for the full course. So keep this in mind if you think this is a concern for you.

Dr Rarick is the best! I am so lucky to found him! He delivered my baby boy. I wish he was my doctor for everything no just my ob/gyn! He is the best doctor I ever saw in my life :)
