Dr. Mhamunkar is the BEST OB! We are lucky to meet her for my first baby. She is very brilliant, caring, professional and hard working. In the meanwhile, she always give me a feeling like a mom which makes me relaxed. With her guidance, my fears and concerns about first delivery disappeared. She is really the doctor you can trust. I'll definitely work with her for the next baby delivery and highly recommend her to everyone!

We are very grateful to Dr.Vidya Mhamunkar for delivery our baby girl without any complications. I was diagnosed with GD and our baby was large for its age. I was induced with labor at 39th week and I had a natural delivery. Dr.Mhamunkar was in contact with nurses throughout the midnight and she came early morning to check on me and help me push. It was a long labor where I pushed for 5 hours and in the end, we had to use vacuum to get the baby out. Dr.Mhamunkar did a great job throughout my labor and delivered my baby without any complications. My family and I are very thankful to her.

Update: This is not a fraudulent review. However, I'll update it to sound less harsh due to fear of retaliation.Worst choice I ever made for an OB. She allowed me to labor for 5 days and I always worry my baby has some brain damage from the extended labor. I was induced on a Wednesday morning and did not have a cesarean until Sunday morning. The computers at the hospital shut down and then they had a shortage of anathesoligsjst all contributing to big delays in removing my baby. It was discovered upon birth that the was wrapped around her hands and feet. I felt left alone and absolutely petrified. She was not supportive or there in any capacity that I would expect from an outstanding and attentive OB. Absolutely horrific and nonexistent support when in the hospital for labor.

Dr. Vidya is definitely the best. I am so glad that she is my OB. She is extremely thorough about her patient and she doesn't make decisions lightly. After our initial meet and greet visit, she called me back the next day to make sure she answered all my questions. It is great to have such an involved OB. Trang is amazing as well. She is quick in sending the docs and replying to messages in the patient portal. Thank you, Dr. Vidya and Trang.

Dr Vidya Mhamunkar, helped us during our journey and the kind of care and support she provided right from day 1 to till today has been phenomenal. She is professional and to the point and very meticulous with her diagnosis. I would highly recommend her ! Word felt short when I wanted to describe about Dr. Vidya Mhamunkar. She is very brilliant, prompt, thorough, hard working at the same time very kind, friendly, generous and motherly. I felt so comfortable in our very first meeting it self. She took care of me as if one of her family member. As I was vegetarian she suggested me special diet, good exercise and other healthy habits which needs to be followed during pregnancy. Because of that I had very smooth pregnancy(touchwood). She would always always answer all the questions before and even after the pregnancy. During my labor (37th week) I had to undergo emergency c section. But when I looked at her , all my fear went away. :) :) She always gave me that motherly vibe which I feel is very important for an ob-gyn. She would even provide counseling every now and then. She will take care of your physical as well as mental health which turned out to be more important than we generally think. All in all she’s an all rounder and I highly recommend her. She is the best.

I cannot explain the whole story in few lines here but Mhamunkar is very keen in her profession and she take cares of her patients really well. I had a very tough journey of becoming pregnant and during pregnancy. In Sep'2019 I was pregnant and dr suspected some abnormality and she suggested some test in very beginning of the pregnancy, which I ended up in miscarriage. After trying for some time after miscarriage, we went with fertility treatment and they we got pregnant again. As dr knew whole history of our past pregnancy and method of the recent pregnancy, she didn't leave any scope of void in recent pregnancy. I was having a complicated pregnancy with multiple issues like low-lying placenta in the beginning, GD, Cholestatis, Thyroid etc which she took care really well and suggested to have a induced labor at 38 weeks due to my cholestatis condition. I was not able to deliver normally and had to go with C-sec. During C-sec I got high fever and high heartrates, due to which I ended up in ICU. She is very prompt in this kind of situation and she was there next to us in whole situation. I was admitted in ICU very early morning like 2:00 am, we called her for some doubts by 3:30 am and she came to visit me first before starting her practice by 8:00 am which was pretty impressive for me. I do agree that she runs late to her appointment but the reason behind it is she gives really good time to her patients (I came to know about it after going in this situation :). ) I strongly recommended her.

Short summary: Very brilliant, mother-like, one of the best doctors in Bay-area. Follows treatment protocol rigorously, she look after her patient before and after delivery with absolute precision. Very happy with her service. Long story: We started our journey with Dr. Vidya in Dec-2018 with few pre-screening tests before planning pregnancy since then we had one miscarriage 21-Oct-2019 and one successful baby boy 24-May-2021 all handled by her. Throughout our difficult time and good time she was there with us on each and every step and made sure she didn't leave us hanging in between. No matter when we caller her office, she always responds round the clock. While my wife went in to delivery, she had lots of pre-conditions which sent her to ICU while operating to take our baby out. Even in that difficult conditions, she stayed with us till 3:30am and made sure all doctors panel were present to look after her @El-camino hospital. Yes that's true that her appointments run little late (sometimes pretty late) but from our recent experience I learnt that there is a reason behind it. The reason is, she gives proper time to each of her patients unlike other doctors who always quickly wrap-up to be on top their calendar. I would definitely ignore appointment time delay thing. It is for sure worth the wait, trust me on that. We also started with Yelp review and friend's recommendations, and after meeting with Doctor Vidya, we knew she is the one whom we are looking for. If you are reading this review and in need of OB/GN then do choose her without second thought in mind. There are always bad reviews when your expectations are sky-rocket but if you are looking for your mother and baby's safety and healthy delivery then you won't got wrong with Dr.Vidya.
