Arrogant, indifferent. The staff in the clinic is very friendly and helpful, unlike the doctor and his assistant. I asked him a simple question, important for me, but he just ignored me and left to deal with another patient. His assistant didn't even want to listen to this question and rudely stated that she has to help the doctor (although before that she chatted in the hallway with a nurses). The nurses there are very good and attentive to patients. The doctor lied that they have no machine for measuring visual acuity (with the balloon) in the clinic, although they do have it! A nurse passed by and saw how rude this doctor and his assistant treated me, she pitied me and measured my visual acuity (1 minute, the doctor and his assistant didn't wan't spend even a minute+ on me! Although both times I had to wait the doctor in the lobby for 2 hours after the appointed time)

Dr Philips did my Lasik 3 weeks ago and it has been a huge success!! He was very patient with all my questions and was very friendly and knowledgeable to speak with. He was very clear on what to expect and what the procedure would feel like. Overall a great experience and I had 20/20 vision the day afterwards!!

Dr. Phillips is a very professional if somewhat cool mannered doctor. His policy is to demand the total deductible amount up front if it is not already met PRIOR to surgery. Aetna informs me that most doctors do not demand up front payment in this manner. They wait for payment rather than force the patient to cover costs up front and then wait for reimbursement. I will not return to this practice.
