Kathleen Comer's Online Review Report Card

Even years later I think back about how terrible this psychiatrist was. She set me back years of progress because she only cares about herself. It's better to not go to Kathleen than not. There are better doctors though so please don't give up.

Run away! The staff does not care. They don’t call you back. They aren’t on top of things. They have attitudes. Even the doctors. A NORMAL OFFICE gets an appointment and will fill your prescription until then. Kathleen Comer? No. Stopped my cold turkey after doubling my dose! Any doctor will tell you that is strictly unprofessional. Are you trying to make me lose my mind? She talks about her own stressors and not the patients. Not to mention, I have many other medical issues (hormone and weight issues) since going on a medication she prescribed. Apparently, she shouldn’t have put me on these meds. I can’t wait to be my normal self again!!! Run away!

She showed no empathy or sympathy. she didn’t seem to care. She Only wanted to give me her opinion. She kept telling me how smart she was and how much money she paid for her school which I don’t care. She just rushed through everything and seemed like she was bored. I have no choice, I need to try this med ( at least it’s something ) and I hope they work, but as soon as I can,I will try to find someone else. I’m not comfortable with her. She is very condescending.

Ms. Comer is listed on the site web/MD as a psychiatric doctor, which she is not. She is, as correctly stated here, a Nurse practitioner, with a MS degree in the field of nursing. She is also a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in controlled substances. On paper she is well qualified. I had one appointment with her. It will be my last. Kathleen has been doing this for too long. She lacks warmth and seems to use her time with patients as an audience to voice her views.

Made it clear she had many patients and little time. In my situation, appeared to prejudge, more interested in what she had to say than what I was attempting to tell her, dismissed my concerns, her phone rang 3 times during our session, and appeared bored, I.e. Leaned head back and yawned while I was speaking. Worst experience I have ever had. Did not show me the way back to the front office so I was left having to find my way out! This is my perception of my office visit with Ms Comer.
